Was running both, but discontinued ABC afterb seeing a sharp rise in temps. Went from 153F to almost 185F in a short period.
Never experienced any slowdown in performance, though.

??? for toTOW
Seems as if my real question earlier was NOT correctly answered. Some BOINC projects can work fine alongside F@H projects.Am running 1 of each currently on all 3 machines with no slowdown. And if, as you stated, ABE#Home is not BOINC supported, then why do you have to download, install, and run the BO...

Re: Dedicated Folding Computer Poll
Already have 3 machines that are folding 24/7.
1 accesses the 'net while the other 2 were purchased EXCLUSIVELY for folding. That is all they do.

Re: Best setup for older clients?
In my book, Linux can be put where the sun don't shine, for all the use I could get from it.
Maybe my old brain cell ( singular ) couldn't grasp it, but I prefer to click only 1 button to get something going, not 3 or 4 like I had to do with Ubuntu.

Best setup for older clients?
Currently running 2 separate machines.
Both are running Windows 2000 Pro on them and folding with the Windows Graphical Edition client.
Both machines are P4 3.0GHz HT capable using onboard graphics.
What is the best configuration for these machines, or is there a better client for them?

Re: FaH and Boinc
I can live with that.
If I start using Boinc on one machine, who gets credit for any WUs produced?Or is that a no point for team effort?

Amount of RAM.
Does the amount of RAM in your machine make any difference in how fast you turn out your WUs or complete your project?
