Re: Trouble sending to collection server 140.163.4.210
I don't know if you happen to use any sort of VPN service, but this server in particular doesn't like certain VPN protocols. I decided to enable split-tunneling for FAH so that this would not happen.

Re: Connection problem 18.218.241.186 & 155.247.164.214
A rather intriguing observation I’ve made is that my computer, a heavy build, continues to get CPU units as opposed to GPU. My mom’s computer, a light build, has been more consistently getting both.

Re: Connection problem 18.218.241.186 & 155.247.164.214
You guys act like work units spawn magically out of some piece of hardware just because it's turned on. It's the PEOPLE involved that make these work units. Well yes, but it’s both things. Having the WU supply devoured is actually cool in a way, just because it’s an unprecedented level of activity....

Re: Connection problem 18.218.241.186 & 155.247.164.214
Absolutely, it's just that while I appreciate and admire Nvidia and Intel's intent, it is unfortunate that they didn't reach out beforehand and factor the repercussions of their calls to arms. Although on the other hand, the fact that so many people hopped on that we ran out of WUs is awesome!

Re: Connection problem 18.218.241.186 & 155.247.164.214
I tell 'ya, it's not a very good look to have all these newcomers come in, and the first thing they experience is that the servers can't handle the load. For those of us who have been doing this for a very long time and understand the history and how this all works, it's not a big deal, we get it, b...

General Maintenance?
I'm just going to kind of assume that the main foldingathome server is in a maintenance window today, or possibly that DST broke a cert somewhere. The stats server is throwing a cert error for an invalid date and the start-folding page has no available downloads for the client on it. Stuff like that.

Re: Failed reading core package header
The issue just appears to have resolved itself. My client just downloaded the updated core and has resumed CPU folding. The path is unchanged, so the file must have just been missing.

Re: Failed reading core package header
The same is happening to me. I don't this path is valid. Re: Empty GPUs.txt
If it were a firewall issue, I'd be having issues uploading and downloading work units, which I am not. No, I believe the file is genuinely not in the place where the client expects it to be. *********************** Log Started 2019-07-02T00:12:31Z *********************** 00:12:31:******************...

Empty GPUs.txt
I'm assuming this is not without reason, but both assign1 and assign2 are returning empty GPUs.txt files when attempting to update. 00:17:31:Connecting to assign1.foldingathome.org:8080 00:17:31:WARNING:Attempting to update GPUs.txt from assign1.foldingathome.org:8080: Received empty GPUs.txt 00:17:...

We've got a 9/10 error count and 10/5/4 status on both assign1.foldingathome.org and assign2.foldingathome.org. Looks llke something blew up.

Re: Possible alternative workaround for Web Control Reload I
Actually, it turns out that the setting itself doesn't resolve the issue, but toggling it does since it does a sort of reset on the cache. That's still rather nice though, because it means you can quickly clear the issue without having to dump your whole cache or use incognito instances.
