I don't think it is a version of fah problem it has just started recently and it never happened before I would look at any recent changes on the server end it is happening on both 7.4.4 and 7.4.16 version of fah.

Re: death by project 9839
I have completed 88 of these on Ubuntu 14.04 using driver 367.57 between 3/8/17 and 4/5/17 on 4 - 980Ti's all have completed between :40 sec and :43 sec TPF all my cards are overclocked some so maybe you have a driver problem or if overclocking maybe a oc problem, you may want to try changing driver...

Re: Workaround for Project Updates in HFM
It's quicker just to put toTOW's link in your HFM web settings and then hit the Download projects from Stanford button in your HFM tool's. Thanks toTWO although I did change the 9852 points manually before you posted that you had updated it. I am using your link and it is appreciated. :D

Re: Core 21 failures on GTX970
1443Mhz boost is pretty high for a 970 if it is running at that I would say that is what I would be looking at.

Re: Failing units, low ppd, and returned units.
It is a hardware problem with the Nvidia 9xx cards and I am pretty sure Nvidia is well aware of it. They work very well for what they were made for but not so good for direct compute software. Why do you think Nvidia forced the 9xx cards to run in P2 state with a lower memory speed on the 9xx Maxwel...

if you want to attach a ss to the post choose full editor at the bottom of the post box then click on the Img button at the top of the post box. the ss will need to be saved on the web somewhere like image shack / dropbox or something like that the URL will need to be put in-between the two Img Img ...

Re: P9625-9643 and bad states- some observations
And it showed something other than 6008Mhz available for P2 state which in x server is Performance level 2 ? That is odd because from my understanding that is set by the drivers and there is only 1 option for P2 state in any of the drivers that I know of for the Maxwell's and that is 6008Mhz , I wil...

Re: P9625-9643 and bad states- some observations
Did you change clock for the right P state ? 7010 MHz (1752 MHz real) is the clock for P0, but most cards are folding in P2 state, which default clock is 6000 MHz (1500 MHz real). Yes, I created a modified bios so that p2 runs at 7010mhz same as p0. I then modified that bios so that p2 runs at 5500...

Re: P9625-9643 and bad states- some observations
Yeah we need NVidia to add some more memoryclock speed options in their drivers it would be a simple fix if they would.

Re: P9625-9643 and bad states- some observations
Just a wild guess but I would say core 21 is more efficient and pushes the memory / memory controller a little harder than previous cores. But that really should not be a problem if Nvidias hardware was up to Industry standards, No other generation of Nvidia graphics have a problem with core 21 WU's...

Re: Core 21 causing severe GUI lag on Linux
davidcotton you can only change the P0 state memory clocks in Linux the P2 memory clocks are locked at 6000Mhz and the Max you can lower them in P0 state is down to 6000Mhz, the memory needs to be below 5975Mhz on my best 980 to stop the Bad State and slowdowns. Nvidia can enable this in their drive...

Re: project 9626 (run 1, clone 20, generation 5)
Jimerikson is this on a Windows box or a Linux box if it is Windows there may be hope for the problem here. viewtopic.php?f=19&t=28226 I have not had a slowdown or a Bad State with a core 21 WU since doing what I recommended in that thread. But I have also not had a P9625-9643 WU since I did it ...

Re: P9625-9643 and bad states- some observations
I can tell you how to fix this but you probably are not going to be real happy with the solution. This is not a core21 problem it is a Nvidia problem that affects the upper end Maxwells mainly GTX 980's and some of the 970's, It may also affect 980 TI's but I do not know that since I do not have a 9...
