Re: Night mode and dark mode

Sorry, there's already a Dark Mode.

It's here : https://v8-5.foldingathome.org/account/appearance (you might have to login to your account first).

Re: Night mode and dark mode

I don't remember a dark mode in official Webclient ... are you sure that you're not mixing with 3rd party Webclient from Lars ?

For feature suggestions, please use Github, the dev doesn't read these forums : https://github.com/FoldingAtHome/fah-we ... tet/issues

Re: Oops. How do I get started again?

Disable the Intel iGPU in Webclient (untick it).

Re: Weird "exception: bad allocation" behaviour

I though p18261 wouldn't assign to clients <8.5 ... I might be mixing project numbers.

Re: Stuck at 1%

Yes, Q6600 doesn't have SSE4.2 which is required for GPU folding. Please disable your GPU in your client on this system.

In Intel world, you need at least a first generation i7 (Nehalem).

Re: Weird "exception: bad allocation" behaviour

04:46:14:ERROR:std::exception: bad allocation 04:46:21:ERROR:WU00:FS00:std::exception: bad allocation This usually means the there's not enough system RAM and/or virtual memory available. It could also be memory leaks from the client which affect biggest projects like 18261. Those leaks are fixed i...

You should reinstall FAHClient, you probably removed the wrong file. :(

Re: Uploading a finished Unit will dump unfinhised unit

Doesn't this happen when a single resources group has both CPUs and GPU assigned so it tries to run both CPU and GPU at the same time ?

Also, it would help to see error from the log when this is happening.

Re: Does 1st-gen Intel Core support GPU folding?

Yes, first generation iX is the minimum requirement for GPU folding. I'm running an i7 920 and an i7 860 without issues.

Older CPUs (Core 2 Duo / Quad) won't be able to run GPU cores. They lacks SSE 4.2 support that is required.

Re: Using MPS to dramatically increase PPD on big GPUs (Linux guide)

Docker instances will always have limitations to protect the host and other users on the same host. If you need total control of the hardware, you'll need dedicated hardware.
