Re: Failed to create OpenCL context

In other words, there'a a bug with Core 22, AMD and Linux combination. The server was incorrectly set up and was sending WUs to this combination. The server has been fixed to not do so anymore.

Re: Stuck at Downloading Core

Yes, it's a known bug of v8 client ... and since I didn't see any explanation or solution to this, I can only advice to stick to v7 client on affected systems ... :(

Re: Core killed after laptop hibernation

Yes, FAH doesn't like nVidia Optimus or any other similar technologies ... or power saving features. They are the opposite to what FAH is.

Re: RTX GPU going into low power?

I never use display power saving option on desktops ... I turn off the screen with the power button when I'm not going to use it.

I would even say that I disable all power saving features on dedicated folding machines ...

Here is a FAQ about points : https://foldingathome.org/support/faq/points/

Some information are a bit outdated, but it should give you a better picture about how they are computed.

Yes,it looks like a bad WU, it already failed 3 times on 3 different users. Feel free to dump it.

I reported it to the researcher.

Re: Core24 download fails

I see that you are on this side of the Atlantic ocean ... I'm currently involved with UPenn IT in investigation about these failures.

Do you also see some very slow result upload to servers in the range of 158.130.118.2X (highlandY.seas.upenn.edu) ?

You can also try to set Prefer Maximum Performance for Power Management setting in nVidia Control Panel.

Re: Packaging F@H 8.3 into a Ubuntu snap for easier use

@toTow, thanks for the answer. Have you a very detailed guide (with line of code to paste in terminal) to install 8.3 on Linux? The only available guide is here : https://foldingathome.org/v8-3-client-guide/ On Ubuntu, use the .deb file, not the tar.gz suggested by M0CZY ... In a terminal run: wget...

Re: ETA exceeds Deadline

I didn't find any useful informations (project number and number of CPU cores) in this thread to forward the issue to the researchers ... Next time it happens, post a report in the appropriate section of the forum with enough informations, like this one : https://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?t=41812
