Re: AMD HIP API support is coming near you
... And the first project will require 40GB of free RAM on the system ... Soooo, I've been squinting at the logs and it would seem as if fah-client reports free memory as opposed to available (free + disk buffers/cache). I must confess. I had a look at this thread earlier, quickly found the the team previously mentioned, and added it to my account settings just to see what would happen. I'm sorry if I made a faux pas and for the confusion I might have caused. I have now set back to 0

Re: AMD HIP API support is coming near you
Did the thing, the thing for Arch based systems, from the other thread. Seems to be working. Manjaro Linux, RX 7900 XTX. Had to ax my ollama setup, but I this is more important. Huge thanks to everybody involved for making this happen! A couple of questions: 0x28 projects wen? (Is it too early to be...

Re: Why are my GPU WUs failing?
To search for already installed packages: $ pacman -Qs string1 string2 ... try strings like icd, opencl, or mesa does something like: opencl-mesa show up, or is cacyos repos packages different? Hey, Linux Mint is a perfectly cromulent distro, or do just Arch Linux (to get some RingTFM experience) f...

Re: Why are my GPU WUs failing?
I'm sorry, I can't seem to find the log for those particular WUs. Look at the "Work Unit #" in the info page and then in terminal, grep WU[number] /var/log/fah-client/*´ to find the correct log. for example, "Work Unit #950" grep WU950 /var/log/fah-client/log* /var/log/fah-clien...

Re: Uploading a finished Unit will dump unfinhised unit
Yeah I mean before doing the segregation of resources, when both were in the default group, I had 29 CPUs and and one GPU, enabled. The info page on WUs used to show "CPUs 28 / GPUs none" (for CPU core WUs) and "CPUs 1 / GPUs gfx1100" on GPU one. Now after the splitting it's 29 a...

Re: Uploading a finished Unit will dump unfinhised unit
... Can you put GPU and CPU in their separate resource groups? ... Mildly interesting observation; after splitting cpu and gpu into different resource groups, the info page of GPU WUs show them using 0 CPUs while on default group it showed them using 1. I assume it still uses the one logical cpu co...

Re: Uploading a finished Unit will dump unfinhised unit
Will do tomorrow when it's convenient to finish for a while! (I've become a bit too reliant on heating with folding :D) Also I've not had too many dumped units so haven't really been too bothered. I just checked https://apps.foldingathome.org/bonus, and assuming passkey works as "Anonymous"...

Re: 19020, core 0x22, rx7900xtx
Well that was a fairly straightforward fix. Had only 22, 24 and 27 on this, and nothing but 27 on my other (rtx 5060) system. I'm curious to know if it's by design or whether I have messed up something during install?
Thanks for the help!

19020, core 0x22, rx7900xtx
Project 19020 seems to fail on my radeon setup. Is it my hardware? Do I need to report it here? What info to attach? It looks like it doesn't opencl (old core???)? other projects fold nicely (at least 0x24 and 0x27) Am sorry if confusing I'm tired and heading to bed now. 21:55:13:I1:WU40:DOWNLOAD 9%...
