OC is not endorsed for obvious reasons...unstable cards produce failed WU.
I would suggest many enthusiast forums that FOLD. For example EVGA has a Folding forum.

Re: can't get gtx 970/980 to fold.
No help is available here if you use the beta flag (though I doubt it's relevant). yup not relevant. Problem is across the board, either due to how the cores initiate with Maxwell or how the servers are responding... Many cores ran fine a few days ago, and are now refusing to start. Re: EVGA GTX 970 - only 2 of 3 heat pipes in use
Yeah, not certain by a long shot.Smaller diameter copper pipe is open at the end. Ie this is not a heat pipe
Not all finishes on heat pipes need to end in a bullet point. They can be inverted or flush...just depends on the requirement and design.

Re: Percentage of F@H participants who are 'overclockers'
First, there are many definitions and gradations of OC. Many MB and Graphics cards OC automatically, or with a simple one time setting. If I build a computer for my grandmother, setting with a very mild OC...Is she considered an OC ? Others run some tuning adjustments on buying or building a compute...

Re: Number of active folders going down?
he stats update fixed how GPUs are reported to the stats system in general. This will bring back the # of AMD GPUs but also there were many NV GPUs not counted. These GPUs are now being counted as new WUs come in. Will theses cards be running more than one core per card? NVIDIA Fermi GPU 10577 2231...

Re: Nvidia Maxwell
I thought Folding attempted to remain hardware neutral.
I don't recall any similar effort to optimize for GCN.
Is Folding going in a new direction with this initiative?

Re: Papers not linked and other things
Wasn't the WorldWideWeb invented to allow scientific cooperation and review? Publication etc.? Scuse me for being ill-informed but my understanding was that Stanford's scientific discoveries were in the public domain. Is this not right? ironic eh? From a business perspective...really useful technol...

No problem.
I have been accused of trolling by some. I agree that reflexive apologists, repeating the same talking points, do little to satisfy legitimate donor concerns.

Re: Change in BA requirements
How can you even speak on the matter? You don't even have the source code of the driverless software and if you didn't have that you don't know anything so your opinions have no value here. Yeah, I am of the opinion that 99% of the discussion is about vaporware. I doubt that any plan ever existed o...

Re: Change in BA requirements
lack of readily available public information. :( Guess that is a problem then. If you didn't know that, then there seems to be a lot you didn't know. It is not a matter of my knowing or not knowing. The experimentation should be on the side of the computer science, the ability to apply the distribu...

Re: Change in BA requirements
People keep talking about bigadv being an experiment, is not Folding@Home an experiment in itself also ? See this is my point. When you have a "project" or an "expedition" there is a connotation of leadership, planning,responsibility...etc. etc. etc. When you start callin...

Re: Change in BA requirements
I find myself uncomfortable with the term " experiment" when dealing with people...When I think of great "social experiments", I just don't come up with too many positives.  There is no need to experiment with how you treat donors. The entire language of the a...

OK,
So that confirms that the imbalance in BA to smp ratio was caused by lower smp participation, and not increased BA participation?
