Re: cant change username sucessfully need help
If you shut down F@H(completely) You should be able to just edit client.cfg, regardless of OS.(Well, not -sure- about OS X, havn't tried it yet) client.cfg's location will vary depending on OS and where you installed Folding@home, so you need to find the directory/folder you installed it to. on linu...

Re: Folding Farmer, or other Folding as a service
You're on-line, so you obviously have a PC, so you can start to contribute with it. Deduct whatever you think it costs you to run FAH from your $30/Mo and drop it in a coffee can labeled "For a new computer" and upgrade to something faster whenever you're ready. (Though donating it direct...

Re: FAH installed in Operative System
the part of the F@H EULA saying "only install on computers you have permission to run it on" is null with a MS Windows install, if MS included it, due to the fact that it would certainly be a part of their EULA, and accepting their EULA would be giving permission to run F@H. Thing is, thou...

Re: CPU cache
I've found a method to add boxes to my team, but it involves me setting up computers that other people get to use, using their electricity, and not stressing my RV's breakers, but it involves me buying computers for the 6 other people who live on the same plot of land, and I'd like to know if I'm go...

CPU cache
I'm curious as to how much cache affects folding, such as would I see a difference on a Core 2 Wolfdale-3M vs. the Wolfdale with a fullsized cache, if they have the same clocks? or a difference on the Pentium Dual Core(core 2 architecture, but with a smaller cache than the core 2, but larger than th...

Re: Folding Farmer, or other Folding as a service
interested in it because I live in an RV, stationary, but still. The best I could hope to fit in here 3 "normal" sized computers. 30 bucks a month is all I could spare for it too, and I think folding farmer's prices started at 24 dollars

Re: Folding Farmer, or other Folding as a service
If you aren't familiar with it, you buy server time but all the servers run is Folding@home, lets you get extra credit for your team.
