Re: WARNING Do not upgrade to 375/376.xx drivers (for xx<48)
Well, I had version 17 on windoz all this AM and based on your response just started the FAH-GPU on Linux (driver 375.26) but servers are still pushing version 17 No, there's no "PUSHING" involved. You already have 17 and the project did not FORCE the update. I doubt that the log shows a ...

Re: WARNING Do not upgrade to 375/376.xx drivers (for xx<48)
That is odd. I have completed 7 p10496 WUs, and 19 other WUs, in Linux with the updated core version. Thanks for posting that. Yes, it's odd but there are a number of factrors that differ. This is a dual CPU (Westmere) 'workstation' system using GTX1060-6G with nVidia 375.26 driver and the OS is cu...

Re: WARNING Do not upgrade to 375/376.xx drivers (for xx<48)
The Linux beta driver does not have the hotfix that was in the Windows driver. It is now a moot point , because the new version of core_21 is being pushed out to all clients. viewtopic.php?f=24&t=29633 With the updated core version you will be able to use the latest Linux driver (375.26) or the...

Re: WARNING Do not upgrade to 375/376.xx drivers (for xx<48)
Barring all that, I suppose it's possible that the application profile Nvidia put in may not be all-encompassing. Perhaps you have found a work unit/project that wasn't taken into account with the JIT compile time change. It's important to remember that Nvidia hasn't actually fixed the problem with...

Re: WARNING Do not upgrade to 375/376.xx drivers (for xx<48)
02:03:53:WU02:FS01:0x21:ERROR:exception: Error downloading array energyBuffer: clEnqueueReadBuffer (-5) That line in the logs is the same error message that comes from the borked drivers - are you sure the box was upgraded properly?? You might need to do a full uninstall and use driver cleaner or s...

Re: Tips for installing Nvidia .run files in Linux
FYI: No need to edit /etc/default/grub as long as GrUB is working properly. For either init or systemd Linux systems all* you have to do is: * When the GrUB menu appears at boot, navigate to the Linux OS you want to modify and press e * Navigate down to the linux command line and place a 3 at the en...

Hey, Thanks for that. I was going to try the beta but there is no point if it is not going to fix this bug. ...saved me some time, .SombraGuerrero wrote:Hopefully Nvidia will merge the fix into the final Linux package, because as of the beta, they haven't. [...snip]

Re: WARNING Do not upgrade to 375/376.xx drivers (for xx<48)
Folding fails on Core_21 projects with these versions of the drivers. As I said I would I installed the 378.49 nVidia driver for GTX1060 on Win 8.1. FAH-GPU has been running without errors since then and, from the log, folding only Core 21. I know that this is probably the wrong place to post that ...

Re: WARNING Do not upgrade to 375/376.xx drivers (for xx<48)
Thank you! I got the 378.49 and will try it ... The Linux version 375 drivers have been reported to have the same problem with Core_21 projects as the Windows drivers. Bummer. Linux is my main OS. nVidia is so slow with Linux drivers' fixes: the 378.09 is still beta. ...hopefully for not much longer.

Re: WARNING Do not upgrade to 375/376.xx drivers (for xx<48)
Yes, using it for windoz 81 and it still fails: ERROR:exception: Error downloading array interactionCount: clEnqueueReadBuffer (-5) FS01:FahCore returned: BAD_WORK_UNIT (114 = 0x72) This AM it continued failing about 6 times then it gave up and "FAILED" the FAH-GPU folding core. Normally, ...

Migration of old forum data|widgets
I started folding with the original project ( GAH, http://genomeathome.stanford.edu/ ) and am a bit sad that all of the history is gone. I am also a little confused as to why the old FAH forum database cannot be downloaded and stored as a searchable archive. Is it damaged too much or is there someth...
