Re: CAPTCHA

Did it again today. Could something just be stuck with the forum thinking that each time we log in we need to do the CAPTCHA?

Re: CAPTCHA

I got it as well. But I haven't posted in a long time since I moved and stuff so I guess my theory of it being someone looking for who has recently posted is out. As well as alphabetically since there is quite a variety of letters here b's p and even an s. Maybe the forum code is lonely?

Re: Possible recrediation problem on 4 WU's

That explains the 477 ones then. Seems like a rather big bonus for an 89point WU actually. Maybe I should start using the passkey. The 654 most likely is just a lone credit for a missing WU creditation then. I do have a passkey sent to me in an email just never put it into the config. So it was a su...

Possible recrediation problem on 4 WU's

After the long day of recreditation I noticed 4 WU's I got points for that I don't know if they were from past WU's that I never got credit on that I forgot about or if someone just happened to use my info while they worked the WU for whatever reason. I noticed this thanks to KakaoStats. Nothing wro...

Re: My Computer

I think I get where you are getting confused. On one hand you have the card which is a ATI Radeon HD 4300 and on the other they are probably talking about the 4300 series like (4300 4350 4360). Note: I just picked some likely card numbers for example purposes I have no idea what the other 4300 serie...

Re: My Computer

There is more that goes into the requirements then what it takes to run the latest video games. The GPU clients require a high enough CAL(ATI) or CUDA(Nividia) level to run the GPU client. And SMP the thing is it's large WU's that have a quick return deadline. And with the SMP the number of cores yo...

Re: My Computer

Depending on the speed of your dual core you may or may not be able to do SMP. Depends if it's one of the newer dual cores or an older dual core. Your graphic card should be good until September I believe. That's when the deadline is for ATI cards 4xxx and lower because they don't have a sufficent C...

Bruce, it was from this and the paragraph before this one in the same post that I got the feeling they all might be running the same WU since I'm guessing he's running version 6.

Re: Newbie with some questions :D

About the folding the same things I've looked at the log files for each and it all seems to be one instance of the same log file :P But I figured out I'm not folding the same stuff :D I right clicked the client went to 'Status' -> 'Queue Info' & on there each of them have a different PRCG so ya...

Re: ADMIN PLEASE READ

There's no need to get an admin for that. You're more then welcome to invite anyone you want to the project. The more the merrier. Just direct them to the website if they are interested.

Re: Need a passkey

Wasn't the SMP client always in a beta like state? I mean it sounded like it was because it was always being improved on at least while I've been visiting F@H's website. I think it also always had a beta tag on it somewhere as well.

oh, and if you could tell me how to change my username to steamboat that'd be awesome too. been a long day :e?: Besides making a new forum account you'd probably have to ask a forum/board mod about that, if someone already hasn't taken the name steamboat. Not sure if they do that or if they would j...

Re: Another Noob w/client question

Ok, I guess I will give the v7 SMP a try. I like the idea of GUI compared to console. How "buggy" is it though? I notice that it has been in beta a loooong time. It still not stable enough to be called "stable"? You have to remember what Standford has to work with. They have the...

JimboPalmer wrote:On the older rig with dual core, using v7 with SMP will yield more points than two uniprocessors.
That depends on how powerful his dual core is. Some of the early ones didn't make the deadlines or just barely. At least pre v7. But it's only a new client not a new core.

Re: Weird issue - Not sure where to post

Considering that F@H pushes your computer harder then other testing software I think they could tell the difference between a client&computer having problems and someone actually cherry picking WU's. Being a weekend you'll have to wait until tomorrow, but I'd bet once F@H starts showing your tea...
