I had to switch back to my windows SSD for a project I'm working on so for now I'll just stick to folding on windows, thanks for the help

It's always important to install the GPU drivers prior to installing the FAH software. Until the drivers are installed the o/s knows very little about the GPU and it's OpenCL support thus the folding software doesn't receive the information it requires. its not that specific machine i tried with a macbook and it too is refusing to touch the proxy... it can ping ok, curl is ok but fah refuses to talk to the internet.
as i suggested before, can i not bridge the internet from my machine in such a way that the mac can use it as a proxy unquestioned?

not entirely sure what the problem is as i cant seem to find any entry in the proxy logs (not that theres much in the way of logging anyway) and the fah log isnt very helpful either... it just says unable to get ID... so im guessing it just wont connect full stop... didnt have any mre luck using the...

im aware of what a proxy is and what it is supposed to do as i work for the company as an IT technician, i can run other (windows and linux) folding clients through the proxy no problem, its just the mac one thats playing games.

ok so i got mac installed... also got it on a dual core 2ghz g5 the problem now is i cant get it to go through the proxy, it just sits and says it cant obtain the client ID but the mac can get through it when using safari/IE
