Re: 6508 (Run 11, Clone 192, Gen 21)
Does 6.02 use a different gromacs version? You're talking about two different things. The client version and the FahCore version change virtually independently of each other. Gromacs is inside of a FahCore. The Pande Group can distribute a new version of a FahCore or can distribute an entirely new ...

Re: 6508 (Run 11, Clone 192, Gen 21)
The correct flag is "-advmethods" not "-advancedmethods". As for the other issues, can't be of help, sorry. ~ Fireball0236 You are correct. It's enabled through configuration so I never need to actually type it in. but there isn't a single segfault reported in his logfile. Accor...

Re: 6508 (Run 11, Clone 192, Gen 21)
I'm also curious as to what OS you are running on and the version of the client you are using. Please also tell us what flags you are passing to the client as you have two "Warning: Ignoring unknown arg" entries in your log. Linux Ubuntu 10.10 kernel 2.6.35 . I'm using the -advancedmethod...

Re: Really un-professional
Just curious but what is happening that is grinding your Internet activity to a halt. What kind of connection do you have? Road Runner cable. According to speedtest.net upload speed is .30mbps which I'm sure is poor. Since ~Nov 09 I usually have one to three finished work units rechecking the work ...

Re: Really un-professional
Yes it seems to be an ongoing problem. The last four or five months have been truly horrible for smp folding. I can understand if they ran out of units but seeing them fail to transmit is irritating. It wouldn't be so bad if it didn't grind all other Internet activity to a halt.

Re: Points per day dropping
Don't know if you're folding GRO-A3 work units. They don't give anywhere near as many points as GROCVS lol.

Re: Not getting credit for completed and successfully sent WU's
171.67.108.25:80 ate approximately 18 SMP units from 11/28 to 12/07
12/09 shows 4 units were sent
I haven't touched my computer in a while so I'm just now noticing this.
I couldn't care less about points, but if this doesn't get a real fix soon I'll have to stop crunching units.

Actually never mind. I think I may have done something real smart on the network. A simple restart got it going again.

171.67.108.24 Can't connect
If I've read correctly, my computer was successfully assigned to a classic server and just completed an smp unit (2674). I'm using Linux Client 6.02 with -smp option. There are other smp servers with thousands of work units needing to be done yet I'm stuck on a server with nothing to do. This happen...

Most work units have a file named current.xyz in the work folder that you can open up with a 3d viewer.

Re: Simulating Drug interactions with Proteins?
Sorry that was a lame joke. I wholly agree Folding@home should focus on new drugs, but there's no need to toss out old ones if they still work.folding4u wrote:Does FAH research have applications in batteries as well?
