Re: What PG respond to that?

Thanks for your constructive comments. Let me give it a try to address your questions. Thank you even more for detailed answers. Crunching-wise I am almost Mr. Nobody and don't know all the tricks, but acting here as spokesman of more advanced folders I know they were mostly satisfied with your sta...

Re: Can't connect 171.67.108.17 and 171.64.65.111

Did it upload to the WS (171.64.65.111) or to the CS? (171.67.108.17)? Yup. Uploaded to WS .111 on April 6 18:33:44, downloaded another 6316 yesterday: --- Opening Log file [April 7 20:27:34] (...) [20:27:37] - Preparing to get new work unit... [20:27:37] - Presenting message box asking to network....

Re: Can't connect 171.67.108.17 and 171.64.65.111

Take it easy, guys. You can always tune your config a little to get another Wu if you feel your CPU cycles are wasted - otherwise just be patient. I had had four clients to upload results and obtain new Wu's, and over last couple of days it got done. Not all at once, but the last received a Wu just ...

Re: Can't connect to 171.65.103.100

One answer, in FAHlog.txt file (take in look in your FAH folder). On the beginning of current Wu you willl find something like [10:45:16] + Attempting to get work packet [10:45:16] - Connecting to assignment server [10:45:17] - Successful: assigned to (171.64.65.111) If it was some older Wu, try FAH...

Re: Can't connect 171.67.108.17 and 171.64.65.111

Looks like I was a bad prophet and the stress mentioned several posts above was too much to absorb. All we need is just a little bit more patience :)

Re: Can't connect 171.67.108.17 and 171.64.65.111

rolling over to collection servers when work servers go down isn't cutting it Especially when the collection server doesn't work either (171.67.108.17 is listed as collection sever 4). BTW thanks for the explanation codysluder, interesting though that you write "It worked reasonably well but t...

Re: Can't connect 171.67.108.17 and 171.64.65.111

Both server can't be accessed via browser.171.64.65.111:8080 is time out,171.67.108.17:8080 is an blank page This was written two years ago. How come exactly the same problem occurs nowadays (just checked)? I can't believe the problem could not be identified since 2008, or even last two weeks since...

Re: Cannot transmit to 171.64.65.111

Yes, that server is currently down. The Pande Group is aware of the problem. 171.64.65.11 is only half the problem - it happens. But what about the collection server 4 ? http://fah-web.stanford.edu/serverstat.html is showing normal operation, but I can't upload since yesterday: [22:43:32] Working o...

Re: Protomol 10000 - shocking!

Thanks for the answers. Rattledagger's hypothesis of 1 atom in a 1000 is surely plausible, especially as I am approaching 1000 Wu's done so this was about time for a bonus like that ;) - a pity it didn't happen with 2498 or SMP unit though :) (BTW that WU has 544 atoms - I've just checked ) On the o...

Protomol 10000 - shocking!

Seeing something new, I went on to see if the Protomol will work on my venerable rig (OS: Win 2k SP4, CPU: Athlon 64 Clawhammer Engineering Sample @2.4 Ghz, 1024 Mb RAM ). First came a 10001 (Run 300, Clone 3, Gen 6). With a step averaging 5 minutes it would make somewhere over 100 PPD, were it not ...

Re: 4437

either there's some sort of problem or Pande Group have forgotten about it. That roughly amounts to the same effect :( As another mod toTOW wrote there is a 4436 unit that was assigned and completed on 18 different computers - now that's a waste, my one week looks bleak in comparison. Maybe Pande g...

Re: Project: 4436 (R21, C0, G4)

As I reported in different topic, on uploading 4437 in place of usual "thank you" I got cryptic message stating
"Server reports problem with unit".

Looks like wasted week of work :(
