Re: 7643: (Run 490, Clone 0, Gen 19) Unstable Machine etc

Do we actually know that projects 76xx are assigned only to V7? The Pande Group is aware of this problem and it's also possible that the entire series of projects has been suspended until some changes can be made. Well Bruce, my friend, we can see the light of the tunnel opening here at my folding ...

Re: 7643: (Run 490, Clone 0, Gen 19) Unstable Machine etc

It's been running fine for 1.5 years, because that's how long it took for Pande Group to come out with larger work units. 76xx work units are much larger in size, and thus push the GPUs harder. What was once a stable overclock for a long time may no longer be stable. NaN errors are typically caused...

7643: (Run 490, Clone 0, Gen 19) Unstable Machine etc

I've been having a terrible time with one specific WU in my PC No.3 desktop FAHome dedicated PC, running Win7 64-bit SP1 build 7601, and i cannot seem to get rid of the darn thing, and it has disabled my nVidia GTX 560Ti video card for folding presently. I have tried all the traditional manners of s...

Re: Trouble w/171.64.65.75: 8080/

OT a bit: To this day my Core i7 970 "HexaCore" 6-Core-12Threads CPU system has not garnered a single one of the BigAdv WU's since this situation became mission critical for many of us with PC's and those types of CPU's in the house, mostly heavily overclocked and very stable at that, and...

Re: Trouble w/171.64.65.75: 8080/

Why is it exclusively the 171.xxx.xxx server which is causing this to happen, and why do the WU's exclusively of the 10K series cause the issue in the 1st place? That's two questions and it probably is worth three answers. I don't know your background in FAH so let me first assume you're relatively...

Re: Trouble w/171.64.65.75: 8080/

Search for 'prime' in the "Issues with a specific WU" forum, that will come up with a number of posts on the issue from several months ago. These include posts or links to posts from members of Pande Group such as this viewtopic.php?f=19&t=18951&p=189579&hilit=prime#p189579 or...

Re: Trouble w/171.64.65.75: 8080/

Joe_H, I've been running -SMP 7 because the laptop, and my Core i7 desktops also, run *faster*, ie finish a WU faster also, at the "7" setting vs "8" cue prompt for the CPU Cores working. I've never had an incident with 7 being a "bad number" before, so if you think thi...

Trouble w/171.64.65.75: 8080/

I've been having constant trouble with this server in the headline here, 171.64.65.75: 8080/ for weeks and counting, and it's not all the time, but intermittent. However when the bad thang starts happening it takes a long, long time to cycle out on my laptop folder, and here's what it looks like: [1...

Re: 171:64:65:75:8080/128.143.199.97:8080/ ONLY A3's!

The title says it all, and I don't know quite what to make of what has apparently been happening since last Friday Nov.4, 2011. Somehow I am am getting only A3 WU's on a 6-Core Gulftown PC with 24GB RAM running @ 4.3Ghz!!! I have not seen an SMP of any series in the 6-Core since last Thursday, the f...

Re: Problems receiving work from 130.237.232.141

I see, so it's been "offline" since last night, and that makes sense here because I've been able to do/get nothing but the A3 WU's all last night and today all day, as I mentioned in a thread I started in the BigAdv Forum tonight. I for the life of me couldn't figure out what had happened,...

Re: 130.237.232.141 and 130.237.232.237 offline

We've brought 130.237.232.237 back online; 141 should be coming online shortly. There may be a few more problems with 141 to debug, though. I don't know *why* it took all afternoon for my 6900 WU to get uploaded, but in any case it just accomplished the task and got another 6900 WU assigned to it a...

Re: 130.237.232.141 and 130.237.232.237 offline

I've been having this issue since yesterday afternoon (Sunday, 9/4/2011) and I'm afraid that my Big Adv WU is going to be worth next to nothing, if, when, it finally gets uploaded. I'm on the 7th failed upload of the WU above, and apparently the same server is supposed to be working with the assignm...

Re: Work server 130.237.232.237

So switch to -smp untill it gets fixed it is not that big of a deal If we do switch to "-smp" until it gets fixed, just how are we going to know when it IS fixed? :?: It's a good suggestion Grandapa_01, I'm not knocking that at all, I just wonder about the above and/or if you had any othe...
