Re: HTTP_SERVICE_UNAVAILABLE: {"error":"No appropriate assignment"}
Is there a FAQ that has an answer for why some projects are requiring a certain # thread CPU count to download the WU, but then, as is my case, I can drop the CPUs down to 4 and it still completes in under 4 hours? It seems like the requirements for 12 or more CPUs isn't really correct in terms of r...

Re: HTTP_SERVICE_UNAVAILABLE: {"error":"No appropriate assignment"}
The issue continues. I am only able to get a WU by setting CPU=12. Tried 6, 8, 9, 10.
It seems rather ridiculous that the min CPU for these WUs is 12, considering that 4 CPUs completes the work in 3h.

Re: HTTP_SERVICE_UNAVAILABLE: {"error":"No appropriate assignment"}
After it downloaded the WUs, I set the CPUs back to 4 and unpaused. It seems to be running fine and will finish the WU in about 3h, well ahead of the 3d deadline.

Re: HTTP_SERVICE_UNAVAILABLE: {"error":"No appropriate assignment"}
My CPU folders are all sitting idle right now also. Yes, they are 4 CPU each. I will try adjusting to see if they can get something. EDIT: No difference in selecting 6 or 8 CPUs. Same errors. 19:04:08:I1:Machine state pause 19:04:17:I1:Machine state fold 19:04:17:I1:Default:Added new work unit: cpus...

Re: Requesting WU assignment
I encountered other DB errors today with macOS 4 CPU configs. Nothing on the local side worked except to reboot my systems. After that, they both were able to get WUs. Kind of strange when a local reboot "resolves" what looks like a server-side issue. 04:38:31:I1:OUT3:> GET https://api.fol...

Re: Issue with 18224
Otherwise the only thing I can think of is something reducing power to the GPU for some reason or something using enough CPU that it slows down the CPU side of the folding. aaahhhhh! I did not think of that. I am in fact in a different location than I was earlier when the TPF was closer to 5-6min. ...

Re: Issue with 18224
I've noticed that WU 18244 221,0,65 has a wildly variable frame completion time on my system. I show 4 previous user's failed attempts in the project overview for the same WU. On my system, I've had some frames complete in ~5min and others are ~30min. 15:11:38:I1:WU488: Global context and integrator...

Re: Client/core dumping GPU WU after pause/reboot
This one dumped after I simply clicked Pause. Didn't shut down the computer. Re: Client/core dumping GPU WU after pause/reboot
In Windows Pause the work, give it a minute, before rebooting, please. If it is still dumping things then there might be something suspicious with your windows 11. Looking at your logs it seems you might have issues with your SSD. Oh, I don't shut down immediately. It's usually 2-3 minutes. Do I ne...

Client/core dumping GPU WU after pause/reboot
I didn't see this in the bugs list, so posting here to see if anyone else has experienced this. I have noticed that my computer production has started going down lately, and part of that might be related to what I've found. Upon shutdown and boot (laptop moving around), I would check the status of t...

Re: Fresh WU, 8.3.18 FAHCore24 isn't working or logging?
I suppose I was being impatient in testing this situation. But I do know that I've checked on Folding and found that minutes to hours have gone by without the core actually running. But in testing, I am finding it can take minutes for this CUDA to get set up: 08:45:45:I1:WU240:Platform 3: CUDA 08:45...

Fresh WU, 8.3.18 FAHCore24 isn't working or logging?
I've dumped and re-downloaded work units but the same symptoms occur. It doesn't seem like the WU is being processed. The log just stops here. Does anything come to mind to try to get this machine to process again? It seemed fine until the last week or two I think. I don't know when it started havin...

Re: v8 connect to v7 for status?
Something you might consider if you can’t find another workaround. The patch software is available at: https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher/ Never heard of this. Looks fun. I might just try this! Before its power supply failed, I tested earlier versions of the v8 client on 10.12.6 and...
