Re: Ubuntu 22.04 LTS FAHcontrol installation

Re: Ubuntu 22.04 LTS FAHcontrol installation
Is folding@home dead on Linux now or what? I was able to install client & start folding on a Ubuntu 22.04 LTS system but I don't know how to control it without FAHControl which I used to be able to install & use up until I think 21.10 but those instructions I used don't seem to work in 22.04...

Re: Ubuntu 20.04, Python 3
I could not get Folding 7.6.21 to work completely under Ubuntu's current release, 20.04. I backed down to 19.10 which works and for a while still had security updates. Now the security updates have ended. The problem with ubuntu 20.04 I think is that it changed Python versions from 2 in lower versi...

Re: Dependency not satisfiable: python-gtk2|python-gnome2
Hey Richard what OS you're using? On Ubuntu Desktop 20.04 I had to use these commands to get FAHControl working: sudo apt install python-gobject-2 sudo apt install python-cairo wget http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/universe/p/pygtk/python-gtk2_2.24.0-6_amd64.deb sudo dpkg -i python-gtk2_2.24.0-...

Re: FAH packages available on a new repo for Debian and Ubun
Unable to get FAHControl working using these instructions on Ubuntu Desktop 20.04 So then I too did the following: Uninstall the client on Linux and ensure these directories are deleted: /etc/fahclient -> Verifiied non-existent after uninstall /var/lib/fahclient -> Verifiied non-existent after unins...
