Hello, Thanks for your reply, Seems that is not working. Still same alert and lost the real name of the Geforce as shown before. (before "Failed to get assignment from 'assign1.foldingathome.org:80': No WUs available for this configuration") Maybe I have to uninstall and clean the system b...

Re: ERROR:WU00:FS01:Exception: Could not get an assignment
You have been hit by a problem with the testing of a future feature. An unsupported device has been configured as a new GPU and you can't get work for it. the only real solution is to disable that slot so the Client stops trying to get work for it. You still have a workable GPU but it has been logi...

Re: The annoying "restart" incident.
You can safely run a script to use systemd to restart the service. You can also use ssh to start it remotely. Supposedly fahcontrol has a way to connect to a remote client. Actually no... ~$ sudo /etc/init.d/FAHClient restart Stopping fahclient ... OK Starting fahclient ... FAIL That's the awful is...

Re: The annoying "restart" incident.
I have to kill the process to try to restart it. Or.. when finally I can stop it the service is up by itself. So I don't feel I have the control about this service. Does anyone has a good way to do it? Simplest would be to restart your machine which will signal the client to terminate gracefully pr...

Set hours of folding automatically
Hi all, I'm wondering if I can assign hours of folding and level of it to try to struggle with the fan noise that doesn't make many things with calm. For example with a crontab or a little bash script manage with crontab. So, is there a command that let you change the level or make idle the client? ...

The annoying "restart" incident.
Hello all, Due to the shortage of GPU WU I have to restart the linux FAH client. When I do, the feeling of frustration is quite unpleasant because the service just doesn't obey me. I have to kill the process to try to restart it. Or.. when finally I can stop it the service is up by itself. So I don'...

Re: Linux desktop or server?
Using a computer which is also folding will have some effect but it depends on what the user is doing. Running a graphically intensive game will clash with gpu folding. Doing heavy cpu compute tasks will impact cpu folding. But folding is supposed to use whatever spare capacity you allow rather tha...
