140.163.4.200 and 140.163.4.210 are OK again, no backlog anymore, nice little spike in the stats.
That makes 129.32.209.201 and 155.247.166.219 the only WS/CS with backlogged stats for now.

Re: 20210206 Missing Work?
Same here, 140.163.4.200 and 140.163.4.210 seem to have new trouble. Here the last WUs credited and the first pending (not-yet-credited): WS/CS-IP | #newest-accounted-PRCG DATE TIME | #pending #oldest-pending-PRCG DATE TIME 140.163.4.200 | Project:17315,Run:0,Clone:2448,Gen:11 02/10 22:25 | 4 Projec...

Re: 20210206 Missing Work?
Hope this post helps visualize which WS/CS process their WUs, and which don't/didn't, and since when. For that, I added api-wu-crawling to my log analyzer and added a new type of output table: WS/CS-IP | #acct'd #newest-accounted-PRCG DATE TIME | #pending #oldest-pending-PRCG DATE TIME 128.174.73.74...

project:17413 run:0 clone:20 gen:488 not credited
It's the only not-credited WU out of 64 I completed for project 17413 since January 24th. It's reported as "faulty" for a different user, a little less than an hour before mine was submitted with WORK ACK (which doesn't show up): https://apps.foldingathome.org/wu#proje ... 20&gen=488 I...

Re: Estimate personal share on overall compute power in FAH
@UofM.MartinK If you have progress with your effort on absolute contribution numbers, please let me know. Would be good to get that into official statistics in addition to PPD. Yes, that's my goal as well. I will soon have some things to show using a preliminary study based on the "imperfect&q...

Re: Estimate personal share on overall compute power in FAH
It's all connected Although I have higher hopes in getting nice(r) absolute contribution numbers (relative to FLOPS or similar), than reliable power.
But logging/reporting what the GPU drivers give us by default is a very good start!

I am actually working on that, and I am currently using base_credit as the basis of actual work performed.

Re: Cost Benefits to Environment on Old Hardware
Post-Covid FAH is definitely a different animal than pre-Covid, I re-joined because of it... and more researchers are now aware. The Assign Server logic, if not already able to, could prioritize latency-sensitive projects to faster machines/users, on top of the deadline which the project owners can ...

Re: Cost Benefits to Environment on Old Hardware
Speed matters - but not too much, there is enough parallel work out there that anything that completes the work within the timeout should definitely be useful. The FAH team can and will adjust these times if it holds back science. In fact, they are currently actively working on ARM clients, which ar...

Re: 16600 consistently crashing on AMD Radeon VII
Same here, no 16600 anymore for my RX580 since the last one received 2020-08-19 02:00:51 GMT - and as to celebrate that, that last WU, project:16600 run:0 clone:1393 gen:201, completed after four "Particle coordinate is nan" checkpoint resumes

Re: 16600 consistently crashing on AMD Radeon VII
At least for me, this thread's focus and main finding, as in the title, is p16600 - which now has been disabled for everything AMD before Navi (5000 series), yeah! Thanks, muziqaz! The "waters" are muddled if you just look at the plain failure rates per project reported in this thread, bec...

Re: 16600 consistently crashing on AMD Radeon VII
Bruce, I appreciate your very valuable contributions, but in this case, it's clear that many AMD models trash 16600 WUs - nothing to do with of overclocking or individual hardware issues, and not even the driver (version) might be at fault - it happens across all drivers and operating systems. It's ...

Re: 16600 consistently crashing on AMD Radeon VII
I just noticed that the latest WU, project:16600 run:0 clone:1430 gen:235, allows more than 3 restarts, it did 8 so far and is about to complete the WU on my RX580!
I gather that this means a WU finished this way is still useful, after all?
I that can be confirmed, I will not dump 16600 anymore

Re: Problems downloading statistics files?
Doesn't seem to be in high demand, based on the reaction here, and the files are smaller than I thought :) If bandwidth or availability at various locations would be a problem regularly, once could also distribute them with a CDN like cloudflare. But that doesn't seem to be a case, do no need to fix...

Re: project:14217 run:1724 clone:3 gen:0 failed on 16 & 12 c
The stats for the workserver handling this WU finally got processed... :) https://apps.foldingathome.org/wu#proje ... ne=3&gen=0 It turns out, hanging in the endless loop for six days was worth 1.5k points after all :) BTW, over 2 Million WUs just got added to the database, I think this is the m...
