Re: Headless installation and configuration on Windows10
Reminder: Windows does not support running a GPU from a service. You have to be logged on to the device. MS (sort of) believes that the sole purpose of a GPU is to display the desktop. Right. Which is why if we find a GPU, we run it as a scheduled task. The folks at our engineering school figured o...

Re: Headless installation and configuration on Windows10
For folks who are interested, I put together an installation package using the PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit. Handy if you're looking to deploy to your systems. We deployed the client to a few hundred machines here, and afterwards I took what we learned and put together this package. (Unfortunat...

Re: Bulk provision passkeys?
Thanks for the explanation. Somebody should probably just copy that into the FAQ as is. Seriously, that ws a perfect explanation. St. Louis is good. At least as good as anyplace is with the current situation. When all this is in the past, I definitely recommend coming out for a visit. A fair amount ...

Re: Bulk provision passkeys?
Use one or a group of passkeys and the individual department names might work just as well if you are deploying centrally. The database is just as happy storing the results that way, and might simplify things. The username used in the client does not need to match up with the one used to get a pass...

Bulk provision passkeys?
Is there any mechanism for requesting bulk provisioning of passkeys for an institution? We're looking at using a unique username for each of our departments, but the thought of requesting that many passkeys via the web interface isn't particularly attractive. I was wondering if there were other opti...

Re: [For server admins] Emails do not arrive due to issue r
The IP address 128.252.160.5 does not have a reverse DNS entry for email.wustl.edu. This is part of how the email system validates that the connecting server is legit. Since @wustl.edu has the same lookup situation as email.wustl.edu, I'm assuming that the MX records for @wustl.edu which point back...

Re: Haven't been able to get Passkey?
If you still haven't received the passkey in another 24 hours, post what email domain it was to be sent to and some can check if there is a problem. Also do check spam folder if you haven't yet, some providers filters have been dumping them into there. I've tried for the last few days to get passke...
