Re: Remote Access not working properly
According to viewtopic.php?f=16&t=34864#p330630 PC2 has IP 192.168.1.163 EDIT: also look up viewtopic.php?f=16&t=34864#p330419 I realise that but it's not in his config.xml so it can't have worked. Somehow it didn't save when I changed it. Still no response though I changed it and rebooted ...

Re: Remote Access not working properly
We need to see the config.xml of PC2. it will be in the %APPDATA%\FAHClient directory. If you can post it on here (but do not include the passkey)? <?xml version="1.0"?> -<config> <!-- Folding Core --> <checkpoint v="5"/> <core-priority v="low"/> <!-- Network --> <prox...

Re: Remote Access not working properly
In McAfee All Access, chose PC Security, then Firewall. You can choose to monitor the blocks (Firewall history) to see if McAfee is preventing the connection, or directly open a port for FAHControl (Ports and System Services -> Add). For the latter, there are instructions here: https://service.mcaf...

Re: Remote Access not working properly
It sounds like a firewall or some other problem on PC2. To be sure, you can try the same from another PC/laptop (on the network). If you have the same error, the problem IS on PC2. EDIT: You can ascertain that the problem doesn't come from a bad command by typing (on PC1 or any PC that is running F...

Re: Remote Access not working properly
You can test the real connection used here with telnet accessing the FAH client on the remote machine (or not...). If you haven't already, you can enable telnet in the Windows Features (search Windows Features). Just tick Telnet Client and click OK (no reboot required). Then open the command prompt...

Re: Remote Access not working properly
Then it becomes scary. :) There must be something preventing that connection. I would temporarily deactivate all firewall/antivirus software and see if it works. If it does, you have to look into those software and authorize Fahclient/control. If it doesn't, probably your network settings are messe...

Re: 16423 (237, 1, 115) GPU Load at 1%
The logfile only shows CPU work unit running WU02:FS01:0xa7 So maybe you GPU did not get a work unit yet? Can you post your full logfile? viewtopic.php?p=327412&f=24#p327412 I see now. For some reason I seem to have 2 CPu WUs running on my client, but no GPU unit. The reinstallation must've f'e...

16423 (237, 1, 115) GPU Load at 1%
Anyone else encountered this problem? I'm folding with a 1080 Ti, and was wondering why a 250 000 step WU is taking my system almost 3 hours to fold. Turns out my GPU Load is at 0-2% according to GPU-Z. Has anyone had a similar problem? If yes, what was the fix? 07:32:04:WU01:FS01:Connecting to 40.1...

Re: Remote Access not working properly
If it only prompts Connecting, it means that it doesn't find PC2 at the given IP. Did you reboot PC2? It is the one that must be restarted. You don't have to reboot PC1 for it to work. The IP address is correct, and I have rebooted both systems dozens of times, at the same time and independent of e...

Re: Remote Access not working properly
Well, I don't know, but maybe you haven't configure it the right way? On PC2, you have to go Configure -> Remote access - and then add the IP of PC1 (typically 192.168.1.xxx) (or a range of IPs) in both fields containing 127.0.0.1. And I mean ADD, don't delete 127.0.0.1, just add a space then the I...

Remote Access not working properly
So I have 2 systems I use for folding: my main rig and my dad's desktop. The problem is that the remote access function seems to be problematic. I want to have remote access to my dad's PC (let's call it PC2) on my main rig (PC1). I have successfully connected my PC2 to the remote access function on...

Re: Problem with 1080 Ti BAD_WORK_UNIT or Bad GPU?
Did a bit of brainstorming with my friend, and we came to the conclusion that I need to lower the clocks in my CPU, to try if I can get my GPU to fold, since the overclocks would crash my CPU units. And we're not mistaken GPU folding needs a thread to work. So far so good, it seems to have done the ...

Yes, I do have another system to try it out. I'll see if I have time tomorrow to test ittoTOW wrote:Jertzuu> would it be possible to test your GPU in another system ? Or another GPU in your system ?
