Re: Button in web control does nothing
v7.6.13 has moved out of beta and is available for general use. You can download it from https://foldingathome.org/start-folding/ Give this a try and see if it solves the issue with the button. So I uninstalled my current version using sudo dpkg -P fahclient and installed the new one after a reboot...

Re: Button in web control does nothing
I believe that was fixed in one of the beta versions of the client after 7.6.9, current beta is 7.6.13. Is there a downside to using the beta version? I remember reading somewhere about Beta WUs and having to sign up to use it to avoid stealing WUs from those who are registered. I don't know; tried...

Button in web control does nothing
Web control's "Finish up, then stop" button literally does nothing. After trying to use it on multiple occasions to automatically stop the current WU so a new one isn't pointlessly downloaded, I realised it wasn't working. So I dived into the webpage's code and realised that the button act...

Re: Arch Linux - GPU folding not working
Good you got GPU slot finally working. Maybe this thread can give you some hints too? viewtopic.php?f=89&t=31205#p304145 Nothing. After going through, I still ended up at the same result. Another quick edit: I read through the comments in the foldingathome AUR page, and there's a comment that r...

Re: Arch Linux - GPU folding not working
Thanks for that. I've already done most of the stuff on there, however, there's still more to be done, even during initial setup. I'll try doing a complete reinstall of the system using that guide just to be sure. Oh and by the way, FAHClient --info didn't pick up my GPU at all, despite commands lik...

Arch Linux - GPU folding not working
Hi. I'm trying to get folding set up on my laptop with Arch and I can't get GPU folding to work (whereas I was able to get it working with Ubuntu). I'm running a rather minimal installation since folding is all I want this computer to do. My laptop has a Geforce 930mx. I set up FAH using the informa...

Re: Linux - Poor desktop performance while folding with GPU
Nevermind. I figured it out. Firstly there was a fix I used from here: ( https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/NV ... en_tearing ) to combat screen tearing. Removing the "AllowIndirectGLXProtocol" and "TrippleBuffer" lines improved general desktop performance (it isn't perfect, bu...

Linux - Poor desktop performance while folding with GPU
My folding hardware consists of a 2600k and a GTX1060. When I first started folding, I was able to fold at full speed while doing light tasks on my computer such as web browsing, video streaming, and even light gaming without much noticeable interference. However due to technical difficulties, I had...

Should I fold with a Geforce 930MX?
I have a laptop with a dedicated Geforce 930MX, and I'm able to fold with it.
But just because I can, does it mean I should? The current job that's on it is estimated to end in 1.20 days, whereas any jobs on my main system's GTX 1060 only take a matter of hours to finish.

Problem with installing fahcontrol on Pop!_OS 19.10
I got fahclient working, but whenever I try to install fahcontrol, I get this error message: The following packages have unmet dependencies: fahcontrol: Depends: python-gnome2 but it is not installable Recommends: fahviewer but it is not installable Tried to manually install python-gnome2 but that a...
