I already Time shifted back to former configuration. Once the client is finished running a current WU I will attempt to null the password and run another WU before trying updating again.

Updated to the latest version of 7.6.9 after reading about it, this is on Linux. The control panel flashes between connecting inactive and updating inactive. Appears to be a shortage of GPU WU's. I'm sure that they are working on it.
