Thanks for that information, that all makes sense. Also, interesting to know F@H is also folding using openMM, I always thought it was Gromacs only.
Thanks again.

Re: ERROR: BAD_WORK_UNIT
Thanks for the information. The WU finished and now at 16 cores everything seems fine. During a break from my own calculations, I changed it to 30 cores and the TEP per day obviously increased, however, my GPU is still ideal. The project (14366) is for only CPUs. Is there any way of forcing the F@H ...

Re: ERROR: BAD_WORK_UNIT
Thanks for the information. I kind of figured out the slidder behaviour by checking the mdrun commands in the system log.
There are 32 cores. If the is any way of running 15/16 of them whilst using the GPU that I would be awesome. The other half I need for my own work.

Re: ERROR: BAD_WORK_UNIT
Thank you! I hadn't spotted that option before. I've set it to 4, so the command now comes up as "-nt 4". It looks to be holding and running without interruption. I'm now just wondering when can I change it back to "-1" for the client to decide. I've never had to manually set the...

Re: ERROR: BAD_WORK_UNIT
I hope it's that simple! Sorry if I sound dense, but how do I drop to 12? The Client Control provides "Light = 15, Medium=30, Full=31 & with GPU running". It is currently set on "Light". Nudging it up to "Full" I get: 12:14:14:WU02:FS00:0xa7:ERROR:There is no domain...

ERROR: BAD_WORK_UNIT
Hi all, I've been F@H for about three years now and this is the first time I've come across this problem. I've just upgraded my client to 7.6.9, but I think the timing of my upgrade and the error is coincidental. Quick system spec: 11:16:12:WU02:FS00:0xa7:*********************** Log Started 2020-04-...

Re: A basic nvidia question
Thank you both for those suggestions and advice. In terms of heat, I hadn't considered that!
Thanks again.

A basic nvidia question
Dear all, I had been running F@H on a Linux Mint 32 core Intel Zeon 3.10 machine with no GPU. My machine is shared between my own scientific work (minor protein folding and medical statistics; the more intense free energy calculation I do on a cluster at work) and the F@H client. The total estimated...

Re: completed (inactive) project summary pages
Hi all,
I too would like to know which projects are active/inactive. And, in particular, what has come of the folding hours per project i.e., a result page of sorts.
Thanks

Re: F&H stuck in download
Bonus points!? :-) I'm yet to read about bonus points. As things stand I have a functioning version 7.4.4 controller. How do I upgrade to 7.4.16 to resolve the issue of a perpetual stalled download? Then I'll look into the automatic boot when power is restored, although that would surely just bring ...

Re: F&H stuck in download
Hi Bruce,
Quite right. I didn't know it was a daemon and I bodged up the permissions. A complete restart of the system resolved the problem. F@H is currently working.
I'll look into the script provided, although they are probably a little beyond where I am being just a mint Linux user.

Re: F&H stuck in download
Hi Joe_H, I restarted the client, nothing happened to the slots on the FAHControl so closed that down and loaded it back up. Oddly the FAHControl on restarting has gone into an "Updating Inactive" state. Its process is marked S and nload is showing no internet traffic (so not updating I as...

Re: F&H stuck in download
Thanks for the reply, apologies but could you 'walk' me through how to issue a restart command from the command line - is this something F&H specific or do you mean a restart of my linux box? I'm sharing my box with some of my DFT calculations at the moment so a complete system restart would hav...

F&H stuck in download
Hi all, Sorry if this has been mentioned elsewhere, still quite new to navigating the forum. My Linux distribution of F&H has sat in "Download" for the past six hours, with no progress. ETA unknown, Credit unknown, PRCG 0, work server 155.247.166.219. I've stopped, restarted, paused, p...

Re: 155.247.166.219 & 155.247.166.220 are now hosed
I've just noticed this thread; I'm having the same issue on (Tues 13 March, 12:31pm GMT).
