Re: Virtual drug screening

To confirm what Joe_H said, I have seen several projects run on my CPU that are checking for possible interactions between SARS-CoV-2 and some candidate drugs as a way to thwart part of the process the virus uses to penetrate the host cell or to prevent it from multiplying. Some other projects that ...

Re: Two smp disliked by server [171.64.65.124]

I'm not able to reach 171.64.65.124 from here nor does it appear on https://apps.foldingathome.org/serverstats I'm not sure what's going on. Could you have possibly restored an old FAHClient directory, or installed the FoldingAtHome software that referenced an old FAHClient directory, and found a n...

Re: Wuhan Corona Virus

Sorry, but to fold for coronavirus you have to choose Any Disease in settings. As of version 7.6.9 of the FaH Client, you can pick "COVID-19". If covid was an option, everyone would choose it, and while we do need covid support, after the craze everyone would forget to change it back and ...

Re: Failed to send results to work server: Transfer failed

The owner of the server at 3.133.76.19 is being contacted about the problem, according to this thread: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=34744&start=0

At this time, your best bet is to let the FaH client continue to run and the uploads may succeed when the servers are less busy.

Re: Why is my total WU stats in the thousands: I just starte

If you want to be sure that the stats for you are for you only, then in addition to a new "Name" you can use a "Passkey", and by using both your stats will be yours only. See https://foldingathome.org/support/faq/points/passkey/

Re: Is it better to leave the GPU slot to "Any disease"?

Out of curiousity I've set my preference to any and cancer. I've only had Covid-19 work so far. I have had my preference set to Any. Most of the WUs I have received have been for COVID-19 and related projects, but I have also seen three WUs for cancer-related projects and a couple WUs related to an...

Re: Does not having the latest client have any negative effe

I prefer to leave it as any disease so that any and all work that is in the system gets done. From viewtopic.php?f=7&t=32463 2. Can I choose to work only on the COVID-19 related projects ? No, you can't. In FoldingHome, you never choose to work on only one project (or family of projects). The s...

Re: Stats not updating?

But this time it was announced, which is good ! Well Thursday has come and gone...No stats... :( One of the things I have learned is that routine maintenance sometimes isn't so routine. Sometimes one has to define "Thursday" as extending until 8am Friday Pacific Daylight Saving Time. :cry...
