Ad 1) if you install the full client on your PC (see: the Software in the Forum Header) you get a much bigger selection of projects to work on, many of them utilize you graphics card (GPU) yielding higher points. It require a nVidia or AMD Graphic chip (as newer as better). If you only want folding...

Welcome to the folding support forum. What you are seeing is normal, there are only a couple projects currently running through the NaCL client for Chrome.
