Re: My Maxwells are getting 13000 & 13001, & failing
bruce is deleting my posts, so I won't bother coming here to report any more issues with the assignment servers. bruce is accusing me of secretly running beta when I'm not and never have, so have fun with your power-abusing moderators and your half-dead forum. Meanwhile, hundreds of folders are prob...

Re: My Maxwells are getting 13000 & 13001, & failing
Hey, I just got a core 17 Project 10466, and it's actually made it to 2.54% without failing. I haven't noticed that project yet, so I'll watch and report what happens.

Re: My Maxwells are getting 13000 & 13001, & failing
But I'll update drivers on some of them and see if they can do the new projects.

Re: My Maxwells are getting 13000 & 13001, & failing
No, and I'm not doing anything differently than I've been doing for the past few months.
The assignment servers just started giving me work units that aren't compatible with my gpus.

Re: My Maxwells are getting 13000 & 13001, & failing
I've been checking the forums here regularly to see if any driver updates have been released, but the only topics I've seen still say "game ready driver only, no difference in CUDA bugs. Besides, the last time I updated my drivers "just because", my PPD dropped over 10% so I went back...

Re: My Maxwells are getting 13000 & 13001, & failing
Right, it will always say Project 9201 for a Maxwell core 17 or it won't work.

It's 0.0.52, I thought it updated automatically.

My Maxwells are getting 13000 & 13001, & failing
I've had 12 slots fail in the past 2 days, after running uninterrupted for weeks at a time. So it's a problem I haven't been having. After I remove the failed slot and add a new slot, it will download a new work unit. But if it gets another 13000, it just fails again. So probably the Maxwells are st...

Re: Core 18 and Maxwell
lol, it's always a feature. If we're lucky, they'll add a new feature where we have to log in and maintain constant connection with the Nvidia server or the card won't work.

Re: Core 18 and Maxwell
I'm running all Maxwells, no flags, all Windows, and I've been getting a lot of core15 and core18.

Core 18 - remember to apply process settings
Just a reminder for anyone who uses Process Lasso or a similar tool to assign cores or govern the behavior of processes. I've started getting core 18 assignments, but my computers have been on autopilot for so long that I forgot to go in and do the same for fahcore18 that I did for fahcore17 (exempt...

Re: Core 18 and Maxwell
Good point. I guess the problem is that the Maxwell drivers aren't performing like they're supposed to, and when it's worked out then the points will go up.
Are other cards getting better numbers with core 18?

Re: Core 18 and Maxwell
Never mind, tpf tripled, ppd adjusted to 18,000
I also got a project 10472, it's currently getting less than 1/3 the points of core 17.
I don't understand why the newest core is less important and less valuable to the researchers.

Re: Core 18 and Maxwell
GTX 750 on a PCIEx1 slot, core 18 project 10471 = 22,000 ppd core 18 project 10473 = 82,000 ppd I prefer the latter. The tpf is half, but I'll keep watching to make sure these numbers stay the same on the faster project. (all my core18 ppd before now have been consistent with the first one, about ha...
