Re: R9 290 dramatically low PPD
Do you have a passkey configured and have you done the 10 QRB WU's on it to qualify it? If so, then the next thing is to do is PM a moderator with your folding name and passkey and then the failure rate for the passkey will be checked (there is an 80% successful return rate requirement). Most of yo...

Re: R9 290 dramatically low PPD
12 hours of running which fahcore? Or which Project #? As I said, it makes a difference. Hi 7im, I let the machine running over 1 day now, and the client is still showing my PPD for 2 r9 290 cards in 30k PPD range. But I notice something else. One of my cards got Project 13001 with TPF 7:30, and an...

Re: R9 290 dramatically low PPD
Is that 30k PPD after the WU has run for several hours and completed several percent? Or is that the instantaneous PPD reported by the folding client after the WU has been only running a few minutes. The client does need some processing history before it can give accurate estimates. Version 7.4.4 i...

Re: R9 290 dramatically low PPD
Dedicate one CPU per GPU, run 14.4 driver, use a passkey, get the right projects. What are your low PPD numbers? I use a AMD 4 cores for my folding machine 2xR9 290. I installed Windows 8.1 before and I got about 130k PPD per card, which is not super but acceptable. Now I decided to wipe out everyt...

Re: Where to get FahCore v17 0.0.55 NVidia Linux?
There is an open source FAQ on the fah web page detailing fah's open source efforts. And while a v55 Linux core would help, it is only a kluged patch for larger issue with the NV drivers. You might get more accomplished by posting on the NV forum, where the real problem is. And what version of Gent...

Re: Where to get FahCore v17 0.0.55 NVidia Linux?
Welcome to the folding@home support forum Aizen. Unfortunately there is no linux v55 of core 17 at this time. It is on the developer's to-do list but that list is fairly large now and he has many other projects on the go. If you go to irc://freenode/fah using an irc client and explain your situatio...

Where to get FahCore v17 0.0.55 NVidia Linux?
Hello folders, Sorry mod if I post in a wrong section, please move it if you want to. I use my GTX 680 to fold in Gentoo Linux with nVidia drivers 334.21. I get 39k PPD with project 9408, which is 3 times slower than it should be. I heard that the problem causes by the new nVidia drivers, which I di...
