Re: 32 cores on Debian - Is this right?
I have this build and I'd like to know what I need to do to take 100% advantage of all computing power available. You may (or may not) already be using 100% of the computing resources. We need to see the first couple pages of FAH's latest log file: /var/lib/fahclient/log.txt. (The one you posted 32...

Will the folding app automatically leverage all GPUs and CPUs in the system?

Re: 32 cores on Debian - Is this right?
Yeah I don't know about those results for the 770s
One more question. What is the best hardware to dedicate for this type of computing?

Re: 32 cores on Debian - Is this right?
What's the difference between 780 and Titan's performance? Is the Titan worth the difference? They just dropped the price on the 780 down to $500 USD, which makes it more competative on on a PPD/$ basis. The Titan, at twice the price, does not fold at twice the speed. From an Anandtech review... ht...

Re: 32 cores on Debian - Is this right?
Tesla are being phased out bruce? The K20s should get you somewhere in the ballpark of the 780 - more 'thread processors' but at a lower frequency. Telsa's might actually allow more support with linux, because my understanding is that the Radeon Linux drivers provide less information than the profe...

Re: 32 cores on Debian - Is this right?
In terms of value for money, you're going to get better bang for your buck going with 'regular' GeForce GPUs - the benefits associated with Quadros (i.e. DP compute) don't really apply for F@H at the present time. The quick return bonus (QRB) rewards faster GPUs in an exponential manner, but this i...

Re: 32 cores on Debian - Is this right?
My apologize. I didn't exactly know what I have. Looks like they are all 2x E5-2950s. 8-cores each. 16 physical cores. 32 /w HT.
Anyway, is there anything else I can do with the config to maximize computational output?
ALSO, what GPUs are best for this? In the case of nVIDIA, GeForce or Quadro?

Re: 32 cores on Debian - Is this right?
ekiro - personal servers or servers (work or otherwise) that you have access/control of? It's a common first question, as if they aren't personal servers then as per the EULA you need to get permission of the owners/business to run FAH on them (ideally in writing). It would probably be useful to ke...

32 cores on Debian - Is this right?
I have numerous servers sitting at the data center, powered on with lots of disk activity, but the CPUs are 99% idle. Worst thing is, these servers have 4x 8-core CPUs (32 cores total). I installed the available debian package and set the load to 'full'. Here is what I see now. Can someone confirm I...
