Project: 7600 (Run 13, Clone 38, Gen 16)

Same issue here... my Q6600 that normally reports around 3200ppd is reporting probably 1700ppd with this 7600 (13,38,16) WU. I am not one of those PPD obsessed types, but I do think that projects need to be moderately balanced. A 10%~20% difference is understandable, but 50% less is not really ideal...

Re: New Anonymous User at Pande Lab team?

Thanks Kasson for shedding light into this issue.

It's nice to know such big computing "node" (whatever the node is comprised of) may be put to folding! As I said, it does the equivalent of 1000 Q6600 or so, so its a big "node"! :)

Thanks again,
Rafa.

New Anonymous User at Pande Lab team?

Pande Lab Team, Can you shed some light on this new Anonymous user you have "appended" to your group that does 1 Million + PPD crunching 700+ SMPs a day? Have you appended all the Anonymous users to your group? Have you added about the equivalent to 1000 Quad processors to your lines? Than...

Re: Long 1-4 interactions error on 2665

Thanks Bruce... I'm actually very interested in the scientific part of the folding process, although I would probably never delve to deep into the biological aspect of it. Makes perfect sense the proximity issues regarding computational problems, I do 3D animation and often dynamic simulation of clo...

Re: Project: 3064 (Run 1, Clone 87, Gen 43)

Thanks, yes... as I posted in a nearby thread, the process repeated itself at the same point of the same WU for over 6 times. I have deleted the Queue and work files and after several retries, I was assigned a new WU. I'll post if further problems arise.

Thanks,
Rafa.

Re: Long 1-4 interactions error on 2665

Thanks a lot 7im, I don't OC my machine, so that's not the issue. From time to time I do have a dropped connection (I use a wireless setup), but I repeated the procedure 6 times with the same results. Also, if left running, the computer would be at 100% load but not 1% advance in nearly 3 hours when...

Re: Project: 3064 (Run 1, Clone 87, Gen 43)

I am on Vista running the 5.92 client and started experiencing this 1-4 long interactions just yesterday, I cannot get past the 1% of a WU that Stanford is determine that I carry to completion. Do I need to reinstall the entire thing?? Could this be attributed to a Vista update? Is anyone else exper...

For some reason, I cannot attach the code, it says I'm not allowed to post URLs! :(

Long 1-4 interactions on 2665 (Run 3, Clone 708, Gen 9)

Friends, I am having trouble with the 5.92 SMP client and a 2665 (Run 3, Clone 708, Gen 9) WU. I get a Warning: long 1-4 interactions at 1 percent. I have restarted the client to find the same result, I have deleted the queue.dat file and the entire Work folder, same problem over and over again. I'm...

Re: Project 4519 and SSE? [SSE not used by AMBER core]

Thanks 7im,

I actually did search but I did it by project number instead of core name!
Thanks again for the links and info.

Rafa.

Project 4519 and SSE? [SSE not used by AMBER core]

Friends,

I just got a 4519 and I don't see the usual message of "SSE Boost OK" that I usually see. Is this normal for the Amber core or I need to run the client with certain tags to re-enable the SSE?

Thanks a lot,
Rafa.

Fantastic information! anandhanju, thanks a lot!

That actually explains a lot, I was getting frustrated by this performance problem. You have given me peace of mind. Thanks again,
Rafa.

Different times on different 2620

Friends, My first post here and somewhat new to folding, so be gentle if this is a stupid question! :D (also, forgive any English problems, I'm not a native English speaker) I'm running several clients on different machines, but I have V6 beta 3 on a P4 3.0Ghz and also on a Centrino (Pentium M) 1.6G...
