Re: Is a Pentium 4 even worth it?
I have an old Pent 4/HT 3.2 GHz that I have kept in service, not because of the CPU (which will get around 150 ppd running Uniprocessor WUs), but because I have been able to run a highly overclocked non-cooled GT430 GPU in one of its PCI non-Express slots. This gives me consistently about 6000 ppd ...

Re: Is a Pentium 4 even worth it?
No, there's no pci-e slots.
Thanks for validating my thought that it might be a high point to power usage situation.

Is a Pentium 4 even worth it?
My dad finally gave in and got himself an up-to-date laptop to replace his 9 yr old Dell desktop with a Pentium 4 3.0 ghz.
Is this even worth considering for folding?
Thanks!

Re: FahCore_17.exe returned error 404
Well actually, v6 is set at 100% but using 50% of each core, which is why I liked this setup.
Last time I tried v7 I didn't have this functionality available. Like for 2 cores, if at 50%, it would max out one and leave the other idle.

Re: FahCore_17.exe returned error 404
Ok, thanks for all of the help.
At least we took care of the core 17 issue.
I tried v7 last year and it appeared to consume more resources than v6.34.
I've just upgraded memory and SSD recently so prob give it another shot.

FahCore_17.exe returned error 404
I've been folding for over 18 months now with minimal problems. Running 6.34 SMP on an Pentium Dual Core T4300 @ 2.10GHz.
