They released v6.34 to fix the problem and most everyone was already running 64 bit software for a long time by then. There was no need to update the v6 32 bit client. But I don't think everybody likes and uses v7 client, also, if they know this problem before v6.34, they should assign the P7520 WU for it...

by default, this image will download the v6.29 client

I recall that the 6.29 version of the client for OS X did not support using the A4 core with SMP. That would have required an update for OS X to a later version of the V6 client code.
