Re: Is everything OK since the DC move?
Ah... I mis-read what happened on 8/26. I thought there was a change in the data centers and servers were moved to a new location. My mistake. Since most of my servers are i7 processors and my GPUs are mostly newer NVIDIA cards (GTX580 and later), I don't think I am experiencing any issue due to the...

Re: Is everything OK since the DC move?
Hi 7im, Sorry... You are right "DC" was intended to represent "data center". I am used to seeing modest swings in point values as the WU mix changes. But, I hadn't noticed a significant change in the WU mix recently and the drop occurred right after the outage taken to move the s...

Is everything OK since the DC move?
Hi Guys, I've noticed a fairly significant drop off in FAH points per WU. See the graph. I haven't made any significant changes in my systems (13 systems with a variety of NVIDIA GPUs in many of them). I have not change FAH versions, re-installed anything, or moved any equipment. Since the data cent...

Not getting GPU WUs
Any idea why none of my GPUs are getting WUs? It looks like the assignment server is refusing the connection. Re: Force FAHControl to abandon current unit?
I suspect the simplest is to delete the slot from the advanced / configure screen of the fahcontrol interface and then simply add the slot back in. That should dump the data and down load a new one very easily.

Re: Folding with Tesla K20C
Hi Jaysenw, It looks like from your log that you are downloading Core_11. What client-type do you have defined for your slot with the Tesla in it. I would suggest that you set the client-type to advanced so that you use the core_17 which will run much better on the Tesla cards. I am running the Core...

Re: Repeated Download Failure
The machine had been running fine for several months. It was set to 75*C and under-clocked to avoid heat issues since there are three titans in this box... Since I had another titan, I did a little round robin until I figured out which piece of hardware was giving the issue. The problem now gone - I...

Repeated Download Failure
Can anyone provide insight into a problem I've been seeing the last few days on a GTX Titan? The slot seems to go into a cycle of download, run for a bit, fail and then download again... Rinse and repeat ;-) The log seems to indicate a faulty project... Any ideas? N0OA 16:25:54:WU00:FS03:0xa3:Comple...

Are you over-clocking the machine?

Re: CORE_OUTDATED (110 = 0x6e)
Remember that, if you are running multiple GPUs, when the core is marked as outdated FAH will not download the new core until the WU on ALL of the cards running with the old Core are completed. I had this happen when the core updated last time, I had three GPUs idle while they waited for the WU on G...

[N0OA] Getting small WU's on a Geforce Titan
I noticed that I just had one of my machines log that it had an "05:09:05:WARNING:WU04:FS01:FahCore returned: CORE_OUTDATED (110 = 0x6e)" Since this machine has three GTX cards in it, two of them are not stuck in download waiting for the third to finish its WU. I assume all three will get ...

Re: GeForce 320.49 Slow?
Sounds good. The estimates in v7 can be a little off when a work unit starts up ... always best to wait for at least 3 or 4 completed frames. I agree, the early estimates are often way way way off :-) I prefer to wait for about 12 hours worth of frames before I reach for a conclusion. My driver upd...

[N0OA] gpu types switched
A related question, but not exactly. I installed a second GPU and wondered what the configuration setting should be for folding with two GPUs. Anyone know what it is? The first time I did a second GPU, I just uninstalled FAH, reinstalled it, and all worked great :-) It's actually pretty simple. You...

Observations re: NVIDIA 320.49
Just an interesting observation. I just updated the drivers on most of my GTX cards to the newer NVIDIA 320.49. The upgrade process generally went very smoothly. But I did notice that 1) All of my current FAH projects on these cards were dumped and new ones downloaded and started; 2) On two of my sy...
