Re: Formatting Not Applied Inside Code Blocks

The intention of code blocks is to post code, in particular BBCode, so it can be copy-pasted. It's also useful to post logs, as is the primary use here on Stanford's forums. So this is intended by the phpBB developers, sorry.

Re: Forum Signature Not Showing in My New Posts

Seems to be done automatically to prevent people from accidently doing it.
As you can see a signature is in this post but if I add another reply it will be gone, no matter what I do :)

Re: MySQL server has gone away?

It's likely this forum has many more security features enabled than the default phpBB settings to minimize spam, bots, etc. You'll need to work within the given contraints as they are not going to change. I think I found a way; if I went to do as I did in my signature (create a little tweaked redir...

Re: MySQL server has gone away?

Ok, thanks, I found it.

By the way, I set up a forum on my own using phpBB 3.0.11 and was successfully able to use as a signature any image on a port-8080-site.
Is this forum using a different software (version) so this feature is not supported?

Re: MySQL server has gone away?

Well, I don't see why phpBB wouldn't like an image embedded in IMG tags in a signature, there is no visible limits on the size one can use, so why would phpBB even check? I believe the forum software checks whether the image is less than 82 pixels high... Your images may only be up to 82 pixels hig...

Well, I don't see why phpBB wouldn't like an image embedded in IMG tags in a signature, there is no visible limits on the size one can use, so why would phpBB even check? Also, if the forum software does not support non-:80-sites at all, wouldn't that be a serious flaw in the software? All major sof...

MySQL server has gone away?

I was going to set my forum signature to this: [url=http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/user_summary.php?s=&u=502709][img]http://mol.b2910.ftp.sh:8080/24396Hidden/bilde2910/foldResultsSmall.php[/img][/url] Which would show as this: http://mol.b2910.ftp.sh:8080/24396Hidden/bilde2910/foldResult...

Re: 171.64.65.75 - Unable to get work unit

I restarted my client and now it works again. Is the server problem fixed?

171.64.65.75 - Unable to get work unit

So, apparently my 6.34 smp client has attempted very many times to connect to the server to get a new work unit to work on, and seemingly without success. 11 times. The entire log file is below. Look at the bottom of it to see the repeated errors: --- Opening Log file [April 6 13:23:22 UTC] # Window...
