Re: Project: 6097 (Run 0, Clone 18, Gen 188)

It turns out the core was corrupt. The next WU I started began looping after only 220 units. I deleted the core to force a new core download, and it's been fine ever since.

Project: 6097 (Run 0, Clone 18, Gen 188)

WU seems to be stuck in an infinite loop. After 15 hours on a single step, I restarted it, and after several more hours it has not advanced beyond 17620/500000 so I'm terminating it.

Re: Lopsided points when folding -smp

Not that I know of. Resmon shows the cpu at 102% of maximum frequency. It's doing P6099 now, still six minute TPF but fahmon now says 35792ppd, so I presume it's normal. I'm just going to quit thinking about it. It's finishing stuff so fast, like this 6099 has a preferred of 7.7 days and it will hav...

Re: Lopsided points when folding -smp

I'm running Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise. I didn't reboot, don't see that doing anything.

Re: Lopsided points when folding -smp

Next WU was from P7150, and it has a TPF of about 6:30. I did restart, but it didn't seem to make any difference. Yes, taskmgr shows all 24 threads at 100% and shows FahCore_a3.exe getting 97-98% usage. I don't see there being a thermal problem as these things are properly racked 4U boxes with about...

Re: Lopsided points when folding -smp

No, there is only the one smp client. The machine only has cheap onboard video (S5520HC Intel mb), I doubt it could even run a GPU client. FAH has the box pretty much all to itself 24x7, same as the 5520 box.

Re: Lopsided points when folding -smp

Ok, this is where it's at currently. The Xeons are grunting a bit, TPF is almost 8 minutes, where on pretty much every thing else it's around 2-3 minutes. Re: Lopsided points when folding -smp

I've got a couple right now that are pretty wonky. A dual Xeon X5680 is working on P6990, and fahmon says 5351 ppd. The other dual xeon 5520 is doing P7141 for a PPD of 27813. Looking at the project stats, the atom counts are virtually identical as are the k-factors. Seems a bit odd that their point...
