Re: Core a4 WUs segfaulting on kernel 4.15
I have exactly the same kernel config, so perhaps it is a different problem? You can check by running an a4 core and having it fail and see if there is any relevant output when you run dmesg when it was error'ing out on me I was seeing these types of messages [ 7290.795572] FahCore_a4[5393]: segfaul...

Re: Core a4 WUs segfaulting on kernel 4.15
I have discovered a workaround, adding the kernel parameter "vsyscall=emulate" seems to fix the problem.

Core a4 WUs segfaulting on kernel 4.15
Ever since upgrading the kernel to 4.15 core a4 WUs have stopped working (core a7 still work). The WU doesn't error out but is interrupted and restart, hence making no progress. Antifreeze protein with water filled core
Unlike most proteins which push water molecules out of their structure when they fold, this one has a water filled core.

Foldit
http://fold.it/portal/
Basically its a game where you try and solve a protein 'puzzle' to predict a proteins structure.
Its more similar to Rosetta than Folding but it has more of a human thing than a cpu thing(Am i unclear?)

Re: BOINC porting
Ive crunched a few projects on BOINC, but always seem to come back to Folding for two reasons. First of all it does not have a quorum....not all BOINC projects have but most do.(IIRC wcg has a quorum of 15!!!) I hate the idea of replicating work someone else has already done while here at FAH its no...

Charity search engine
I stumbled upon this charity search engine http://www.goodsearch.com where you can submit your own charity to be sponsored.
I was wondering if somebody(with bit more knowledge of FAH details) shouldn't submit FAH as one of the charities.
Thank you.

Re: No points..
the project descriptions for every SMP WU I've ever folded (2605, 2608, 2619 and 2653) are empty. I'd want to know what it is that I'm donating for. I must admit I agree with you about this, I'd really like more info about the SMP units. P2653 has got to do with a immune suppressor(POPC) found in t...
