EOC updates now at 32 mins past the hour every 3 hrs
was something like 15m after before
so other than it's an annoyance that the time changed... it's fine
just sort make people go ??? every time the time drifts on it
begs the question is it EOC fault or the server

Re: STAT updates have stalled.
it was very late like 5:38
i was checking at regular intervals every few mins
it might mean that EOC will update later now from last stat server freeze

Re: Not issuing Point certificate?
yeah i did that got it
but it should be a simple fix on the website that should have been done long ago
what???.... you don't have a few mins to shave off some code and reupload the page

Re: future core 17 WU?
Highlight the gpu slot in V7
right click on it - should bring up a drop down list
then select stop
then select start
this will restart a WU from last position or checkpoint

Re: Change in BA requirements
If AVX support comes it will apply to some desktop and server rigs (newer hardware) those 2p & 4p rigs using modern AMD and XEON chips will get the bonus no the bonus(rebalance) should not be reduced because we have a CPU more capable of doing work than before. so if you give a 20% boost to SMP ...

Re: Change in BA requirements
Ok the solution is obvious first to reduce people building BA server systems - reduce Bigadv points - they are way over-inflated when I went from bigadv to smp - I got 1/3 of the PPD I was producing before - in no way is a point drop of that much is fair on the same hardware (just based on the switc...

Re: Implications of FahCore_17 on Current GPU WUs
BTW, this is what proteener has to say about the current GPU Projects (excluding FahCore_17): If donors dump FahCore_15/FahCore_16 WUs, it just means that the same WU would have to be done multiple times which will slow down the completion of the Projects and possibly hurt the researcher(s). Someth...

V7 questions (development questions)
When will V7 have native Linux GPU folding (not using wine)? you have discussed this as a future upgrade to FAH
When will be have BIGADV in win7 (64 bit)... so if we cater to do both GPU & cpu Bigadv with Ivy-e or SR-X system we can do so without the hassles of using Wine in linux

Re: Project 7809, TPF increases until restart
Ya! I'll stay at smp10
CPU usuage on the GPUS dropped too down to 1% combined - rather than 5% before - both my gpu's WU's and SMP were starved before
SMP has improved remarkably

Re: Project 7809, TPF increases until restart
I'll have to keep this in mind next time to check task manager at moment a4 core 94-97% a baseline tpf (my rig)on 7808/7809 is 8-12m tpf with a 3 GPUs running... 5m20s tpf when not running GPU's (almost twice as long when my gpu's are running) and that's fine Im not getting 45K like my SMP rig runni...

Re: Project 7809, TPF increases until restart
Happened again with a 8071 WU Exactly when it starts the new WU - went up to 1hr TPF on the 7809 SMP unit in 2 frames(and may stay like that for hours) sounds like certain GPU units are hogging CPU resources when they start - and won't release it Pausing the GPU solves it the TPF on the SMP improves...
