Re: Server has already received unit -- working as console n
I guess that's what happened, when I deleted all the previous mentions of folding and/or Pande Group out of the registry.codysluder wrote:So we don't have any idea what caused the original problem, but getting a fresh User id fixed it. Right?

Re: Server has already received unit -- working as console n
Thank you everyone for your help. I uninstalled the program through Control Panel, deleted the folder and all its content (including the config.sys file), emptied the recycle bin, and deleted everything in the registry that said anything to do with folding or Pande (group). Searched several times to...

Still isn't working
Well, after uninstalling the program, deleting the folder and all its contents, emptying the recycle bin, rebooting the machine, and reinstalling the program with a different username and no passkey, it still isn't working :( Any more ideas of what to try? :e( Here's the log file since all that happ...

Re: Server has already received unit
The only thing "different" that happened in that time frame was I traveled out of town with my laptop, and took my mobile wireless gizmo with me. I left the desktop machine (the one with this problem) running at home while I was gone, so there was a 2-3 day delay after it was done and bef...

Re: Server has already received unit
Sorry I didn't get a chance to copy or rename the fahlog-prev; it got overwritten by accident (I had shut down the folding program, but it got started again when my DH rebooted the machine for some reason). I did get a chance to look at it before it got overwritten, and IIRC there were two or three ...

Re: Server has already received unit
According to the official stats, there have been donations from MJandDave, MJandDave2, and MJandDave3. Have you used all three names? There are 3 recent clients associated with MJandDave, (two CPU clients and and one SMP client), one client associated with MJandDave3 (one CPU client) and zero recen...

Re: Server has already received unit
Since your name is MJandDave2 I'm wondering if you have two Windows user names and you're switching users while folding. Your launch directory implies that "martha" is folding when she's logged on. Does "dave" log on and fold, too? If so, you might find two different copies of F...

Re: Server has already received unit
How did you install it? Was it from a clone of another HD? Did you copy a folder from another install? The server is reissuing WU's to this client that it has already issued to another. I've counted three reissued WU's on that one log. That requires two clients with identical client.cfg files. Rega...

Re: Server has already received unit
No, I don't have 2 clients running. This is an older desktop unit, and only has ever had the one client on it.

Server has already received unit -- working as console now
Can someone tell me what this means? I used to get a "Thank you" message after uploading workunits. This is a single instance of systray client, that had previously working fine for several weeks / months. Here's the log file since Dec 1. --- Opening Log file [November 29 07:17:31 UTC] # W...

Re: Clustercorp Brings Folding@Home to the Cloud for SC10
Thanks for the info. What do you mean by a "very long time to complete"? Would a classic client be completed by its deadline?

Re: Clustercorp Brings Folding@Home to the Cloud for SC10
So, dumb question. Can an individual sign up for the free Amazon Web Services, and run F@H under their Free Usage Tier? If so, how would you do that?
