Re: WARNING ! Do not upgrade to 375/376.xx drivers.
For those of you who are folding on RHEL/Centos Linux, the kind folks at elrepo have compiled the previous working Nvidia driver for RHEL/CentOS 7.3. This resolves the repeated failures on core 0x21 work units. (If you do install that version, be sure to --exclude it when using yum to update your sy...

Re: WARNING ! Do not upgrade to 375/376.xx drivers.
I just installed a Nvidia update to 375.26. right after reboot, FAH GPU failed on two core A21 WUs, then got an A18 WU which it is now processing. Does that imply a (partial??) fix? or not?

Is there a stats problem?
I'm monitoring my stats at both extremeOC and Kakaostats.alexbueno.me, and BOTH sites show zero points for Monday 9/5 and so far for today 9/6.
My FAHControl shows in its logs that my system is continuing to crank out the points.
Anybody else having similar issues?
thanks!
Fred

Re: More trouble with Nvidia GTX 460
Joe_H: I had, in the past, set up a slot for the 9800GT, but it never worked so I'd removed it. you're suggesting leftover cruft from that may be interfering? artoar_11: I'm currently using the drivers from the elrepo linux repository. they offer a 325 and a 331 and a 340, but no 327. The 325 doesn'...

More trouble with Nvidia GTX 460
Just installed a new-to-me GTX 460, hoping I could use it to do some folding (it replaces a 9800-GT which apparently is no longer supported by FAH). I added a GPU slot and it starts up and keeps getting the errors shown below (see code box). Having just done some reading here on the forums, I see th...

Re: new GPU slot, can't get work.
Guys, I"m not trying to argue with you, I'm just trying to understand some details, so please bear with me: So, P5-133XL is telling me that if it has ":::" it's NOT supported, which means if it has :<number>:<number>: it is (or could be???) supported??? (and the entry for 9800GT has n...

9800GT is on the whitelist:

Given that, how would one determine that it's NOT supported?

new GPU slot, can't get work.
been running FAH on my AMD Phenom II X2 for a year or so, just activated a GPU slot too, and it fails to get work: 03:14:21:WU02:FS01:Connecting to assign-GPU.stanford.edu:80 03:14:30:WU02:FS01:News: Welcome to Folding@Home 03:14:30:WARNING:WU02:FS01:Failed to get assignment from 'assign-GPU.stanfor...

Project: 7600 (Run 37, Clone 1, Gen 16)
I'm running FAH on linux (32-bit OS) on a AMD Phenom II X2, a separate FAH client on each CPU core. currently I've got a project 7600 workload on both cores, and both of them are painfully slow. they are: [10:32:14] Project: 7600 (Run 37, Clone 1, Gen 16) and [04:50:10] Project: 7600 (Run 10, Clone ...

Re: bad Work Units 6503 (3, 189, 41) and 6511 (0, 94, 11)
"I down-clocked the memory a little... when I built this system almost a year ago I bought RAM rated at 1066 DDR. for some reason the BIOS wanted to set it at 800, so I manually tweaked the BIOS settings to 1066 and ran Memtest86+ for several hours and it tested fine." This sounds like th...

Re: bad Work Units 6503 (3, 189, 41) and 6511 (0, 94, 11)
Bruce: Thanks for the info! I continue to have what appears to be the same problem with several other WUs. so far I've not found any problems here. I've taken the system down and run Memtest86+ through two full iterations (around an hour and a half) letting it run all its standard tests. nothing. I ...

Project: 6502 (Run 17, Clone 153, Gen 20)
I keep getting handed the same bad WU. So far it's been logged as a failure 57 times and it's still cranking on the 58th attempt (it's always the same WU). It fails at 83% every time, having wasted a bunch of CPU cycles and electricity... How can I get rid of this (apparently) bad WU and move on? : ...
