Could be something our ISP did recently... My wife tried the same assign3.stanford.edu page while tethered through her phone and she gets the OK on port 8080.

I've been running fine for the last 4 months but as of two days ago, I just stopped getting any work units. Figured I'd wait a while to see if it was just temporary but still nothing. I uninstalled and re-installed with the public beta 7.4.2 hoping that would help, but I still keep getting the error...
