Ran briefly smp on opensuse,I just booted up to runlevel 3 and logged in there to cli,seemed to run better (more efficient that way),did the setup from a GUI tho,setting up samba,download patches and download folding software,set it up and so forth,then it was runlevel 3 and less resourcehogs interf...

Think both f@h and boinc complement each other,had a time when I tried several boinc projects,some of them had those issues mentioned with no work,or very little of it,days for a reply on the forums if ever,that goes for the smaller projects.Bigger projects like milkyway or gpugrid doesn´t have that...

not that hard, one thing it boils down to is if you like brown or blue most ? brown you use gnome and maybe ubuntu, bluesih kubuntu with kde and that will look somewhat familiar to windows,more so than gnome at least. the latest versions of opensuse have been very picky about hd persmissions,so much...

It is not normally the client itself, that decides if support is dropped, but the cores. As the vast majority of uniprocessor cores are still compatible with the v5 client (i.e. don't require functions provided only by newer clients), I would imagine it will remain supported for some years to come ...

when I woke up I had got one gpu assignment,finish now,and looks like it got registred too. guess I got very lucky there,hopefully it get sorted out,have a team mate that seems to use i7,can´t match that so I need the gpu´s :ewink: even switched router just in case something was going on there,ok to...
