I'm back in business. I just doubled the memory, so it's at 2048 mb now. If it gets to the point where it'll need around 4gb, well i'll just have a great excuse to get an upgrade xD thanks for all your help

thanks for the tip bruce, i'll try upping the mem a little to see..and also post on the other forum to see if that's the main concern.

I've been running the VMware player fold@home config for i7 processors so I can use all 8 cores.
