Re: FAHcontrol not connecting (windows 10)
I can confirm the bug the OP experiences - not only for latest Win 10, but also for latest Win 11 & it's happening, at least to me, since at least April - if not March - this year.

As far as I can see, It is the same error, I just printed the FAHClient responser not the log.... (...) @superpan: that's _not_ the same error - your client succeeds with upload, but fails to assign PPD credits while our clients already fail to upload...

Re: Problem with 129.32.209.205 and 129.32.209.201 or not???
(...) As I write this, another one is in danger of dumping. :((...) I'd rather "happily" dump one, if only all other ~30 WU would succeed in upload - not to mention all lost PPD.. As stated before: I refuse to accept or understand why it's such a problem to deal with connections - FAH &am...

Re: Issues with uploading to 128.252.203.1 & .9
I do understand that, may I suggest that a change is implemented, allowing to modify a WU's assigned CS on the _server_ (!) side _after_ such problems arose, not directly helping "victims" like me, but other participants who are about to receive this exact WU so that they're not suffering ...

Re: Issues with uploading to 128.252.203.1 & .9
Thanks for the heads-up, but since I'm now over 60 (!) WU not being able to return to one of those two, why's not change to the WU _prior_ to transmission to clients like mine done already? I do understand the issues (Thanks again for your insights!), but I struggle understanding why no interim solu...

Re: Issues with uploading to 128.252.203.1 & .9
It's a pitty to hear that - especially since I thought that hosting it cloud-wise would solve such problems while in reality, it seems to cause even more such problems.. :e?:  Thanks for the detailed insight, though. Very much appreciated. If I can be of any further help towards my WU problems,...

Re: Issues with uploading to 128.252.203.1 & .9
The problem has been fixed for almost everyone. You may be having problems uploading to these servers, but most others are not. I don't think so as any culprit on my end (OS, firewall, router, etc.) was already tested by myself extensively - all work perfectly, it's always the IP & port of the ...

Re: Issues with uploading to 128.252.203.1 & .9
@Bruce: About 4 weeks later, the problem _still_ persists as I've got over 40 WU not being uploaded for days if not weeks. Why is FAH always struggling with this? Almost a year ago, due to the massively increased user base, I understood the reasons. Not so much nowadays, hence my request for a more ...

Re: Send Errors - 155.247.164.213 & .214
Thanks for the clarification, PantherX. Regarding (bonus) points, I'll sum it up this way: any lost (bonus) points are probably simply that - lost, i. e. no restore, no compensation later. That's said, but then again we're in this all together and if FAH does its part for finding a cure, I'm still h...

Re: Send Errors - 155.247.164.213 & .214
First and foremost, the science part: what's the actual official word about dropped work units due to not being submitted in time due to server problems? We're losing valuable scientific data or we're getting a chance of submitting eventually? I mean, we're talking COVID-19 here, guys - the more WUs...

Re: Core 17 has suddenly started crashing
@ Bruce: I'm sorry, but you seem to misunderstand each and every try and therefore I give up on any further explanations. @ PantherX: that's a good point regarding 8/8.1. ;) However, I do notice that within your rebot-log there's no core shutdown-message as before?! I's much like it was in my scenar...

Re: Core 17 has suddenly started crashing
Yes, we do expect the fahclient to shutdown gracefully with windows. It does with XP, but not on anything newer. I have had a bug ticket open about this "Unhandled exception" error a long long time. :( Very sad to hear such a bug still exists. I believe several WUs are dumped just because...

Re: Core 17 has suddenly started crashing
Sure, not an issue at all since if there is a bug, a fix should eventually be released. Thanks a lot! :) Since I manually start FAHClient, in order to mimic your automatically start after log-in, I placed the shortcut in the start-up folder (C:\Users\PantherX\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start...
