Re: No WUs available for this configuration
It does sound like a less than optimal solution. If I run into trouble with another app, you know the first thing the customer support representative is going to ask, just before telling me they're afraid they can't help in that case. I went through the steps above (delete GPUs.txt and reboot); this...

Re: No WUs available for this configuration
Fortunately I'm a pack rat and save my receipts. A sighted friend told me that I had a Sapphire Radeon HD 5850. We went through this a while ago; that's why I included the GPU-Z card ID earlier. It does appear to support double precision. However. I'm concerned that even if it gets the stamp of appr...

After poking around, I found a log file that may be more useful. *********************** Log Started 2020-04-30T00:52:46Z *********************** 00:52:46:****************************** FAHClient ****************************** 00:52:46: Version: 7.6.9 00:52:46: Author: Joseph Coffland <joseph@cauldr...

Re: No WUs available for this configuration
Here's the first 100 lines of the log, with both slots. Only slot 1 has the issues. I haven't done anything unusual with the installation except put the program & data files onto my D drive. 02:54:27:WU02:FS01:Connecting to 128.252.203.10:8080 02:54:32:WU02:FS01:Downloading 29.70MiB 02:54:38:WU0...

No WUs available for this configuration
I've been having problems getting a GPU work unit over the past couple of weeks. I first noticed this on 18 April. The CPU slot was running but the GPU was going through lots of attempts. After a week (and 42 attempts) I checked the boards and found the 7.6.9 update, which I installed. That seemed t...

Re: Can't Connect to Assignment Servers, but No Errors?
I've also had problems getting an assignment. I have two computers running F@H, one is CPU only and the other is CPU & GPU; both have hung on the "WS Assignment" phase. It's been this way since March 21. Is something amiss? Are my humble desktops now redlined as being not sufficiently ...

Re: Problems obtaining GPU WU
Thanks, Bruce! That got it running like a spoonful of castor oil and now I'm a happy folder.

Re: Problems obtaining GPU WU
Correction: 1002 6899 - 1002 0B00. There was also a Bus Interface: PCIe x16 2.0 @ x16 2.0.
Sorry. The GPU-Z text is very small and no way to copy and paste so I'm going through screen magnifiers.

Re: Problems obtaining GPU WU
What should I look for in GPU-Z? I didn't see a PCIe ID. There was a Device ID: 1002 6890 - 1002 0B00.

Re: Problems obtaining GPU WU
(Hope I can get this in before the system logs me out.) The card is a Sapphire HD 5850, as close to the AMD version as you can get. GPU-Z reports it as rev 00. It's in the lone x16 PCIe slot of a Gigabyte P55-UD3R motherboard. Up until it stopped getting WS assignments entirely it was doing a fine j...

Problems obtaining GPU WU
I'm using a 2009 vintage PC with a Radeon HD5850. Previously it did a fine job on work units, but a couple of years ago it stopped. It kept trying to obtain a WU assignment to no avail. Thinking it might be a problem with the server, I uninstalled F@H and reinstalled after a few months. Same deal ea...

Re: No appropriate work server was available [ATI]
Still waiting. Perhaps it would be best to shut my folding down for a few months until the ATi gets a little love. It's a pity; my card was really tearing through the data, when data were available.

Re: No appropriate work server was available [ATI]
As of 0045 (EDST) on 30 Jun, I'm still waiting. It's been like this for the past several days. I'm using an ATi HD5850 GPU, and here's the logfile to answer any other questions: --- Opening Log file [June 29 19:11:43 UTC] # Windows GPU Console Edition ################################################...
