Re: HFM.NET - Client Monitoring Application for Folding@Home
See Issue 29: http://code.google.com/p/hfm-net/issues/detail?id=29 This functionality (or really a synopsis there of) is going to supersede the current CompletedUnits.csv file. It will likely have a totally different data store (maybe even SQL Server Express), have its own UI (much like Benchmarks)...

Re: FahMon (multi-platform app to monitor various F@h clients)
It turns out it wasn't the firewall. I compiled it again and It's repeating the same behaviour and I've tried numerous firewall options including disabling firewalls on both sides. I did run gdb though although now FahMon is hanging rather than crashing. The 'Downloading New Projects' window appear...

Re: FoldWatcher is out!!! (The ULTIMATE Monitoring Environment..
FYI, getting the linux source to build under windows was trivial. I tested this so that you wouldn't have to keep maintaining a "port", but rather a couple of patches. One thing that might help is that you could "#ifdef WIN32" to keep the paths together in onefile, as the makefil...

Re: FoldWatcher is out!!! (The ULTIMATE Monitoring Environment..
Windows Client: Is the folderwatcher.exe in a command window necessary?? No, it's not. And I have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA why it pops up, as the original Linux version does NOT include that. I hope I' ll find out soon the buggy part. What you need to do is add this to the CFLAGS when you compile the win...

Re: FoldWatcher is out!!! (The ULTIMATE Monitoring Environment..
Can it monitor a PS3 by chance? I have no idea if other clients can even do that either. Is the folderwatcher.exe in a command window necessary?? No third party client can monitor the PS3 because there is no way to get at the WU progress without using something ugly like screen scraping. The comman...

Agreed, the QT runtime libraries are not included. I got an error that mentioned QtCore.dllPette Broad wrote:Downloaded Windows version but it won't run as various dll's are missing.

Re: FoldWatcher is out!!! (The ULTIMATE Monitoring Environment..
Will you be adding "make install" capabilities? It's rather inconvienent to have each and every user install their own copy. Sidenote -- I usually expect programs to install into /usr/bin, not /usr/sbin ;) Otherwise it looks good! [ivo@ragana foldwatcher-0.1.0]$ make make: *** No rule to m...

Re: Management Tool For Linux F@H Clients - Looking for Testers
You might want to offer a way to run remote management without requiring "PermitRootLogon yes" (i.e. have ssh call sudo)

I like looking at them every once in a while. Would it be possible to only update those pages once a day/every other day?

It doesn't seem like you're handling &'s in names correctly (see http://mnetcs.com/statistics/usersList. ... amId=11108 - R&M_Collective)

Re: F@H Monitor creation & Info from F@H files...
The hexdumps of queue.dat and wuinfo_XX.dat are probably the most reliable way of getting info about the current WU. unitinfo.txt and FAHlog.txt do provide a lot of information, but they can easily be messed up by the FAH client with some cores (fahlog by SMP, unitinfo by various cores) When I was m...

At EOC (http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/?nav=XML), you can request access to XML based stats that are updated every three hours. It's not available for all teams and users though.
