Re: Project: 7611 (4, 19, 332) very slow
I have just terminated and removed the slow 7611 WU's work/slot directory. I archived the whole directory though, if someone needs to see the raw data of it at 28% completion. The machine picked up a P6347 WU and is happily crunching it with a TPF of 79s.

Re: Project: 7611 (4, 19, 332) very slow
I am aware of everything that runs on the machine and well-versed in detecting process time hogs, but thanks for your input nonetheless. I'm sure it will aid someone.
There are no time hogs running besides FAHCore_A4 and it is running at its usual 99% CPU level.

Project: 7611 (4, 19, 332) very slow
I think I have another P7611 anomaly. It is currently running at a TPF of about 65 minutes on an i7-920 running at a slight overclock. The P7611 TPF has averaged about 10 minutes on a nearly identical machine running a stock speed i7-920, and I would expect that the average for the machine in questi...

Re: Project 7611 (0, 23, 259) - High TPF
Also wondering what the statement by Bruce, "Note that the list of reported WUs are stopped daily at 8am pacific time." actually means. Does that mean that there is a way that FaH can tell the fahcontrol to stop working on the wu immediately?... It just means that all the bad WUs that are...

Re: Project 7611 (0, 23, 259) - High TPF
I paused the WU, stopped the FAHControl program, and stopped the service via the command: net stop "Folding@home Client" in an administrator command prompt. I then deleted the "01" directory in \fah\data\work and restarted the service via: net start "Folding@home Client"...

Re: Project 7611 (0, 23, 259) - High TPF
How exactly do I dump a WU? I am running the service version of v7 on Win7 x64. I am assuming I can pause the core/client, stop the service, and then poke around and kill all the data/work files associated with the WU?

Project: 7611 (Run 2, Clone 39, Gen 319) runs very slowly
I am seeing this WU be very slow with a TPF of around 1:06:00 (1h+) where other WUs from this project have been running at an average of 0:7:26 on that machine. I don't believe anything else is interfering with it, but would reboot the machine to see if it helps, but I don't think it would. Here is ...

Re: 76xx on gt 430
Cleaning the card did not help. It failed the same WU again (Project: 7640 (Run 76, Clone 0, Gen 14)) so I nuked the slot and moved on to some 80xx WU and it is working just fine.

Re: 76xx on gt 430
The GPU card may need to be cleaned out--it's probably been a few months since I blew out the dust. I'll do that this morning to see if it helps before blowing away the slot. To do it by hand via a command prompt, is it just deleting the directory named "00" or "01" in the "...

Project: 7640 (Run 76, Clone 0, Gen 14) on GTS450
I am also having problems with Project: 7640 (Run 76, Clone 0, Gen 14) but on a GTS450. It gets a "NANs detected on GPU" error from mdrun_gpu returning 52. This results in an "UNSTABLE MACHINE" error being thrown ultimately. The card is a completely stock MSI GTS450, running at s...

Re: Folding Forum inaccessible
This morning, it looks a little better to me, as I can get to the SOA records via my DNS: Server: UnKnown Address: 192.168.1.1 Non-authoritative answer: foldingforum.org primary name server = ns1.sgded.com responsible mail addr = dnsadmin.hotspare1.sgded.com serial = 2012022307 refresh = 86400 (1 da...

Re: Folding Forum inaccessible
I just had to put 99.198.108.202 foldingforum.org into my hosts file because both my default DNS from my ISP and OpenDNS did not resolve it. Initially, OpenDNS (208.67.222.222) did have it and I thought, oh goody, my ISP's servers are crap. After a few minutes of digging around though, I tried using...

Re: 130.237.232.141
FYI, I had a batch of twelve (12) FILE_IO_ERROR and/or MISSING_WORK_FILES errors yesterday (17 Dec 2011) from the server 130.237.232.141, all various P6900 WU's I think. I am running v6.34 on Win 7 x64. Here is the relevant log file stuff: [15:20:10] + Attempting to send results [December 17 15:20:1...
