Re: Cannot transmit to 171.64.65.111

That option has been removed from V6 because it caused many problems just like the one you're reporting. In fact, the WU was probably uploaded long ago but when "Use IE Settings" is enable, the client never receives the acknowledgement from the server so it incorrectly assumes the WU was ...

Re: FahMon (multi-platform app to monitor various F@h clients)

Hi Igloo! I think the only one who should make binaries available for download is uncle_fungus, and those are the official releases. There are always open questions about the requested kind of files: Is the download made available by a person I'm trusting? Are there any (serious) bugs nobody is yet ...

Compiling FahMon (Win): Linking Warnings

Hi Andrew! With the current source from the trunk (r386) Visual C++ 2008 gives a linking warning for each .obj file. All warnings are the same: aboutDialog.obj : warning LNK4254: Abschnitt ".text" (60000020) in ".data" (C0000040) mit verschiedenen Attributen zusammengeführt base6...

Re: FahMon (multi-platform app to monitor various F@h clients)

I have a problem at compiling under Windows with r329. This happens during linking: Verknüpfen... clientsManager.obj : error LNK2019: Verweis auf nicht aufgelöstes externes Symbol ""public: __thiscall ClientHelperThread::ClientHelperThread(unsigned int)" (??0ClientHelperThread@@QAE@I@...

Message for new config location (Win)

Hi Andrew! In the latest builds (I've compiled r323) you've changed the location for the configs under Windows. 8-) However, I think that the corresponding message ("Automatically imported old config") could be more confusing for the user than helpful. Usually a user wouldn't mind about th...

Re: FahProgress: A micro monitoring tool for win

I like the idea of a summary. If you want to have details, you can click the tray icon, and that's it. The tooltip lines could even be shortened. The word "Client" isn't really necessary. Here's my modification of your idea: x recently started y in progress z nearly complete --------------...

Re: FahProgress: A micro monitoring tool for win

Nice, the Offline status works with 0.07c. Thanks, Stefan. :) There are just some delays here and there in program reaction. This is mainly seen, when you try to quit the program. However, you asked for feedback, so you get some more: After a restart the program window doesn't remember its last posi...

Re: FahProgress: A micro monitoring tool for win

Hi Stefan!

Thanks for this tool. Two issues I've found in 0.07b:

1. When a Folding@Home client monitored via LAN is offline, the program hangs.

2. Under Windows XP the button icons are cropped:

Re: FahMon (multi-platform app to monitor various F@h clients)

Here's what I did : 1/ Quit Fahmon 2/ Rename /fr_FR to /fr_FR.original 3/ Duplicate /en_GB 4/ Rename this copy to /fr_FR and rename the file en_GB.po to fr_FR.po 5/ Start Fahmon Hi JY! You don't need to make a new fr_FR out of en_GB. If FahMon doesn't find the language set up in the OS, it automati...

Re: FahMon (multi-platform app to monitor various F@h clients)

Hi billclo!

The problem could be the experimental reload system (FahMon > Preferences > Monitoring). If it is activated, try to run FahMon without it.

Greetings

Re: Time Cycle Mechanism

Both display styles should cycle at the same time. Under Windows XP this isn't the case. As Francois already mentioned (BTW: Thanks for the tip), the clients must be refreshed to show the changed time display in the Work Unit Information panel. The ETA display changes right away (with key press). S...

Time Cycle Mechanism

Hi uncle_fungus! A question about the cycling of the ETA style: Should this generally also have influence on the displayed time in the Work Unit Information panel on the right? I'm asking, because in most cases only the ETA time in the client list is cycled, but in a quite special situation also the...
