I joined the forum Sun Dec 02, 2007, and I beta-tested the new ATI GPU client on my ATI Radeon X1650 by making Windows XP indicate to FAH that I had an ATI Radeon X1900. I don't know when I started folding.

Are the cards running that hot because you're letting NVidia control the fan curves? If you don't intervene that's what NVidia will do - run them up to 82C. I ran eight GPUs on a similar motherboard using PCIe x1 risers. In BIOS, hyperthreading should be disabled and you need to enable above 4k decoding.

I would delete the CPU slot in FAH Control | Configure | Slots and run FAH on the GPU. I run World Community Grid (WCG), a BOINC project, on my CPU and FAH on my GPU. WCG will run a task per CPU thread.

Have you used HWMonitor to check the CPU and GPU temperatures? My Intel i9-10850K @4.8GHz with a CoolerMaster AIO ML360 liquid cooler runs about 70 C when FAH is running. My GPU utilization is about 70%. You can see the GPU utilization in HWMonitor, too. Some members run two installations of FAH in different directories to fully utilize the GPU. I have not done that.

If you look at Task Manager | Performance | GPU0, you will find that FAH does not utilize 100% of the GPU (in the 3D section).

Here are some numbers from Rosetta@home. Relative Folding@home performance should be about the same for your processor.
